'Edge of Night' novel perfect for summer '22 Seconds' is a simple swiping game designed by Ketchapp that can uniquely challenge it's users to quickly and efficiently swipe a ball through different obstacles within 22 seconds. Which can allow the user to reach different levels. This game is known to be easy to learn but difficult to master and can make challenges interesting between friends. Obstacles will change after every reset and once the 22 seconds you go back to start making you inclined to try and beat your best score. In my experience, I was very frustrated with this game because of the repetitiveness of going back to start every time and only occasionally be given an option of starting from where you left off. Normally I'm more interested in games that are a little more challenging in the difference of appearance. For example, if this game had given you the option to advance each time, or to start from certain levels so that I wouldn't be stuck doing the same level over and over again, and I would be more satisfied with playing this game to the extent I know others could. I let one of my friends play '22 Seconds' while I was busy and he was enthralled and completely competitive with himself to continue in trying to beat his last score. He somehow beat his score every time which made me think that this game would be better for those who enjoy finding new strategies that can help them advance throughout the ever changing obstacles, making it so that they can continue to challenge themselves at this fast paced game. In the reviews it seems that opinions are split between people agreeing with me that the game can be frustrating and others who find the time challenge addictive, just like my friend did. A frustrated user states, "Fun game. For about 2 minutes. Then the repetitive gameplay and only 22 second game length gets boring and old," which is something I agree with. As school ends and approaches summer, people alike dream of cool swimming pools, endless amounts of sleep, dream vacations, and the usual cliché want for a summer fling or romance. Of course, everyone wants to do amazing and fun activities while the summer last, but not many people would think reading would ever be a pleasurable way to spend their free time. The novel, The House at the Edge of Night by Catherine Banner, however, will take you to the fictional island of Castellamare off the coast of Italy following a family throughout the generations as they learn how to love, lose, and find the true meaning of family. In the beginning of the twentieth century a medical physician, Amedeo Esposito, finds a job hidden away on the small and forgotten island of Castellamare. He is well-liked at first and marries the beautiful retired school teacher Pina, but when a scandal of past events with another villager spreads throughout the island, he is removed from the job. Together, the couple reform their relationship and build their future in the crumbling House at There aren't very many odd things we can experience and have fun while doing it near us, however, there is something about two hours that everyone should go to. It's called the Shakespeare Festival. I was a little wary going to it thinking I would absolutely despise it, but it was amazing. The AP Lit class was given the opportunity to go see Julius Caesar live. I had never been to a live theatre before, or play, and I can tell everyone that the atmosphere of a play is so powerful and moving. I loved Julius Caesar, but they had put a modern touch on it. I would have preferred it remain the same because I have an appreciation for old things. The actors would absolutely players hinders 'Guardians of the Galaxy' intrigues Amanda Waughe Staff Writer Stephanie Peña Staff Writer Katie Louisell Staff Writer Aly Smith Staff Writer Rebeccah Smith Staff Writer Great movie to watch, highly recommend! Extremely moving and heartfelt. Exciting and interesting experi- ence that I would recommend. 22 Seconds was frustrating and boring. the crude humor presented the Edge of Night. Turning the home into a family bar, they serve their customers food and stories long forgotten but cherished. The book follows the lives of the Esposito family as sons go to war and leave their parents behind, a girl with a disability learns to become the strength in her community and finds love in a man who came from the ocean, and how two siblings who fought for so long learned to cherish their family before it is too late. Through all the secrets, deaths, and heartbreak the people of Castellamare are united by the call and heart of the beautiful island where some will stay until they die and others will leave when they see the nearest opportunity. The House at the Edge of Night is a novel that reminds us to never forget our past because they will be a part of our future, and it is a perfect summer read for those who can travel with pure imagination. The action comedy film, 'Snatched' was released on May 12, 2017, with big name stars such as Amy Schumer, Goldie Hawn, and Christopher Meloni. It starts off with introducing Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) being dumped by her rock star boyfriend, Michael (Randall Park). It is then revealed that Emily had booked a non-refundable trip for her and her ex-boyfriend to go to Ecuador, Columbia. Emily becomes determined to find someone to fill the empty space in her trip, and when her friends all decline the offer, the only person Emily can turn to is her mother, Linda Middleton (Goldie Hawn). After receiving a mouthful about booking a non- r e f u n d a b l e trip, Emily is able to c o n v i n c e her mother to join her in Ecuador. ' S n a t c h e d' is a film that had great actors, but a mediocre plot that ruined the potential for them. Overall, "Snatched" is a decent film, but it is not worth going to the movie theater for unless you want to waste money for tickets and popcorn. If you are desperately wanting to see it, I would suggest waiting until it is released on DVD. this movie. I enjoyed seeing Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn as a mother and daughter duo, but the amount of humor that the two brought to the screen was sometimes overdone. 'Snatched' is a film that can only be funny to certain audiences. Such as audiences that can handle crude humor, nudity, and violence. I would not r e c o m m e n d bringing family to this film unless you can be comfort with seeing nudity next to .Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, directed by James Gunn, stars Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, and Bradley Cooper as the main character roles. 'The Guardians of the Galaxy 2' started off with a really long scene, but watching Groot made it better as he was the main focus. This scene could have been shorter or it could have been better p l a n n e d out. W h e n I first saw the trailer to this movie I actually t h o u g h t Groot was going to have a b i g g e r role in fighting the villains, but his role in the fighting was pretty minor. I imagined a lot more to come out of this movie, but it didn't reach all of my expectations. The first movie was just a little bit more eye-catching than the second movie. The second movie didn't keep my interest for long periods of time. If I had to rate this movie 1-4 I'd give it a 4.3 because even though it didn't go beyond what I expected to see, it was still funny and entertaining. Many of the scenes were actually longer than they should have been and it felt like the movie was just being dragged along. There were scenes that were captivating and enjoyable, but there were very few. The whole audience seemed to really enjoy this movie because they laughed quite often and that's a definite plus. One of the things I did not like from this movie at all was the ending. The ending was also long and draggy. There was a lot of space in between, but that happened throughout the whole movie, so it wasn't too surprising. I would rewatch this movie because of my favorite characters Rocket and Groot. Rocket has a very interesting dynamic and Groot is just adorable. A family movie that I highly recommend. amazing. Brutus was great (and hot). He was the character that made the show so intense. Yes, everyone else was talented, but he stole the show completely. The Shakespeare Festival has its own atmosphere. I found that when I got there, I craved feeling the excitement and window shopping for old trinkets. Ashland is a great place to hold this event because they blend together so beautifully. Now, back to the play. The set was actually pretty cool. There was a lot of symbolism in its crumbling structure, representing how everything went down with the death of Caesar. The lighting was great and the props were used very efficiently. It wasn't perfect though. There were some areas I had absolutely NO idea what was happening. It got lost in translation. It's like people had to know Julius Caesar to a T to understand exactly everything that was happening. As for the transition periods, everyone knows the actors have to do things to distract the audience from seeing the stage workers changing sets. They did these weird tribal dances in between which made me either giggle or cock my head in confusion. I still liked it and I intend to see the Odyssey this summer. (2017) "I'd give it a 4.3 ... but it was still funny and entertaining."
