Best Business Section or Pages/ Category 27 First place Business Kyle Lewis & Amanda Matlock The Times-Post (Pendleton) Comments: Clean presentation with useful graphic elements. Readers are kept informed of new businesses. Might be good to revisit them in three years to see how many survive. Second place Business Amy Hillenburg The Mooresville/Decatur Times Comments: Good overall presentation, but some missed opportunities. Third place No award given. Best Special Section/Category 28 First place EDGE Staff Hendricks County Flyer (Avon) Comments: Very engaging editorial content. Publication could easily be divided into a series of three or four special sections. Nice job! Second place Leisure Guide Staff Spencer County Leader (Dale) Comments: Interesting and engaging special section, clearly an important niche for your advertisers to be in. Third place Mooresville Tween Times Brian Culp The Mooresville/Decatur Times Comments: Great idea. Engaging students with newspa- pers is a nice positive focus. We hope this section was also online. We would have liked to know more about the student writers. Best Community Service/Category 29 First place PINK POWER Staff The Times-Post (Pendleton) Comments: Great cause, good reporting. Second place No award given. Third place No award given. Best Newspaper Design/Category 30 First place Dax Lowery & Michael Haynes Hendricks County Flyer (Avon) Comments: Great use of color and dominant photos. Easy to read and navigate. Second place Bryan Helvie & Debbie Blank The Herald-Tribune (Batesville) Comments: Promos are simple but effective. This is a news- paper that loves white space. Third place Kyle Lewis The Times-Post (Pendleton) Comments: Enjoyed the rail on Page 1. Elegant look. While it was daring to put the great fire photo above the fold, it seemed disconnected from top story. Division 1 Page 21
