Born in California on November 4, 1937, she was the daughter of the late James Bamford and Mary Kivett Bamford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Patrick "Pat" Ames; and a daughter, Tracy Ames Lind. Survivors include two sons, Jeff Ames and spouse, Todd Jordan of Lawndale and Mike Ames of Lawndale; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at a later date. Peggy was born Wednesday, October 25, 1939 in Rutherford County to the late James Robert Jones, Sr. and Madlyn Durham Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Dude" Campfield. Left to cherish fond memories are her daugh- ter, Sherry Campfield Hughes of Ellenboro; son, Steve Campfield (Kathy) of Gaffney, SC; sisters, Mary TALTHA TURNER WILLIS Taltha Turner Willis, 79, of Vale, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2023. Born in Lincoln County, NC on June 25, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Esper Doris Turner and Ethel Ingle Turner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randy Blake Willis and five broth- ers and sisters. Survivors include a son, Dennis Willis and wife, Daresa of Vale; two daugh- ters, Karen Doolittle of Vale and Renee Jenkins and hus- band, Jason of Taylorsville; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service was held May 31, 2023 at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Forrestene Sain and Rev. Ernie Richards officiating. Mr. Gold served our coun- try in the U.S. Army. DEBORAH ANN WRIGHT Deborah Ann Wright, 69, of Blacksburg, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was born in Elyria, OH on January 19, 1954, to the late Gordon and Gloria Kline House. Mrs. Wright is survived by her sons, James Wright of Cramerton, NC and Timothy Merkle of Elyria, OH; and two grandchildren. In addition to Deborah's parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Richard Wright. There are no formal ser- vices planned at this time. HAROLD WILSON Harold Wilson, 76, of Shelby, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2023. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late George and Virginia Blanton Wilson. Mr. Wilson served our country in the U.S. Navy In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert, Woodrow, George Jr. and Coleman Wilson; and sister, Barbara Jo Hardin. He is survived by his wife, Diana "Skip" Stroup Wilson; daughters, Kimberly Dawn Krohn and husband Dennis of Shorewood, IL and Kristie Lynn Hanley and husband Kevyn of Cherryville; three grandchildren; sisters, Betty Jean Overcash of Maiden, Katie Sue Bell of Shelby and Janet Enloe of Seaford, DE. She is survived by her son, Tracy, and his wife, Ellen Cook, of Satsuma, AL, and her daughter, Tammy, and her husband, John Mann, of Kings Mountain; three grandsons; and two great-grandsons.
