Perinatal Loss Support – Expectant parents who sud- denly lose their child often experience a wide range of emo- tions and grief. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center offers "Perinatal Loss Support" to assist those who have ex- perienced the loss of a child (conception to one month of age) through the grieving process, and provide an atmo- sphere of confidentiality and comfort. Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Caregiver Sup- port Group-Alzheimer's disease is the most common form of dementia among senior Citizens. It involves the parts of the brain that control thought, memory and language. Memorial Hospital's Caring Hands Senior Services spon- sors an Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Caregiver Sup- port Group. Meeting dates have changed to the first Tues- day of every month. The next meeting is Tuesday, February 2, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Medical Arts Conference Cen- ter, located in the lower level of the Medical Arts Building at 721 W. 13th St. in Jasper. This support group allows caregiv- ers to come together to share knowledge and experiences in caring for loved ones who are affected by these illnesses. C-4 Wednesday, Januar y 20, 2021 The Press-Dispatch IPL gives $5,000 for Buffalo Trace Festival Petersburg Mayor R.C. Klipsch accepts a check of $5,000 from Mark Flint, of IPL, for this year's Buffalo Trace Festival. Klipsch said they are planning to have the festival on Aug. 20 and 21, if possible. The Streets- cape project, which will replace sidewalks, curbs and light poles along Main St. is set to begin on August 23. So they wanted to have the festival prior to that project starting. He said this was the only date they could get with the ride company before the Streetscape project started. "If we don't have it this year, we can use the money for next year," said Klipsch. Glezen Revival Center gives care packages to area firemen Area firemen Wyatt Majors, Kyler Henry, Ryan Benner, Ross Elemore and Devin Tegmeyer stand behind a ta- ble covered with care packages given to them by the Glezen Revival Center. The packages contained bottles of water, several snacks, including chips and peanut butter crackers, peanuts and candy bars, as well as a cross and verses of scripture. They were presented to both Petersburg and Patoka Township firemen, which are the two departments serv- ing the Glezen area.
