Russell, 93, of Petersburg, passed away Jan- uary 10, 2021, in Washington. She was born June 11, 1927, in Dutchtown, to Russell and Zona Lucas. She was a self-employed beautician for 60 plus years. She enjoyed her Euchre Card Club. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Lynn Smith Hayes; two grandchildren; one step-grandchild; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Fred Lucas; four nieces; and her cat, Tom, whom she considered her companion. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Milton Smith; second husband, Har- old Russell; her parents; one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, who died in in- fancy. Graveside services were on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg. A private fami- ly viewing preceded the ser- vices. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care. DAVID L. CAMP David L. Camp, 85, of Vel- pen, passed away on Thurs- day, January 14, 2021, at his residence. He was born April 28, 1935, in Petersburg, and was united in marriage to Judy Lemond on May 19, 1954, in Peters- burg. He worked on the railroad for 35 years, where he served as a conductor, until retire- ment in 1985. He volunteered at the French Lick Scenic Rail- way. He joined the Winslow Masonic Lodge #260 on May 4, 1968, and was also a mem- ber of the Hadi Shrine and Scottish Rite. He is survived by his wife, Judy Camp, of Velpen; two children, Tony Camp and Tra- cy (Eric) Evans, both of Vel- pen; eight grandchildren, Jas- mine, Jesse, Hannah, Ivy, Tay- lor, Chloe, Jed and Emma; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred (Camp) Coleman; and sister, Jackie Harrison. Graveside services were at 2 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Janu- ary 19, 2021, at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Velpen. Con- dolences may be shared on- line at www.nassandson.com. GARY H. WILLIAMS Gary H. Williams, 75, of Al- ford, passed away at home on January 15, 2021. He was born in Vincennes, October 1, 1945, to Herschel and Catherine (Dixon) Wil- liams. He graduated from Mon- roe City High School in 1963 and married Mary "Kate" Ris- ley. They were married for 57 years. Known for working hard, he took on a variety of tough jobs throughout his life. Start- ing at Vincennes Steel in 1965, he enjoyed many careers over time, such as coal mining, co-owning a tire store, farm- ing many years, co-owning a seed conditioning plant, own- ing a trucking company and over-the-road truck driving. In 2013, he began to enjoy retire- ment and spent the majority of his time with friends and fam- ily. He attended Alford Unit- ed Methodist Church and en- joyed gathering almost daily with friends. His greatest joy in life was his family, includ- ing his dog, Max. He is survived by his wife, Kate; his children, Chet (An- gie) Williams, Richard (Tam- my) Williams, Gene (Lori) Williams and Jennifer (Lu- cas) Kluemper; his moth- er, Catherine Williams; sis- ters, Linda (Bill) Drotoz and Vickie (Rex) Chattin; grand- children, Emma, Kyle, Chloe, Hunter, Danielle, Madeline, Kristie and Kaitlyn Williams, and Colton Newton; and sever- al nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Roger; and his fa- ther, Rev. Herschel Williams. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Janu- ary 20, 2021, at Reels Chapel Cemetery Visitation, with Rev. Jarrod Chattin officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at Alford United Method- ist Church, in Alford. Due to COVID-19 protocols, masks and social distancing are re- quired throughout services and no more than 25 people within the church at one time. TAMMY HOLMAN Tammy Holman, 49, loving wife and mother of five chil- dren, passed away in her home on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born December 31, 1971, to Shirley Tepe and the late Mike Tepe. In 1996, she met the love of her life, Jason Holman. They married and raised their five children, Robbie, Cady, Emi- ly, Jayton and Jacy. Tammy put being a loving mother above all else in her life. She trea- sured her children and em- braced every moment she had with them, from living room sing-a-longs about grease lightning to kitchen dance par- ties about the time warp. Later in life, she had a pas- sion for tending to her many chickens and donating her dai- ly egg collection to the local food bank. She loved summer days playing tag outside with her three grandchildren and teaching them how to care for the chickens. She also spent her summer days attempt- ing to garden, but lacking the ability to keep a single flower alive. She was known for her kind heart, sweet nature and her ability to love without lim- its. She is survived by her hus- band, Jason Holman; moth- er, Shirley Tepe; five chil- dren, Robbie Roberts (Nicho- las Skie), Cady (Sean) Dum- ler, Emily (Chris) Cullivan, Jayton Holman (Ivy Hobson) and Jacy (Blake) Carroll; three grandchildren, Chris- topher Cullivan, Tinley Cul- livan and Riley Carroll; two brothers, Mike Woodland and Cody Tepe; two nieces, Mackenzie Woodland and Ke- arstan Nichol; along with ma- ny aunts, uncles and cousins, all of whom she loved with her whole heart. "You'll see her in the clouds above, hear her whisper words of love, you'll be together be- fore long, until then, listen for her song." A celebration of life will be at a later date. BILLY JOE FOSTER, SR. Billy Joe Foster, Sr., 60, of Petersburg, passed away Tues- day, January 12, 2021, at his residence. He was born January 15, 1960, in Washington, to Bil- ly R. and Ruth (Pride) Foster. He graduated from Wash- ington High School in 1978. He has worked at the Wash- ington Street Department, Red Door and Purdue Farms. He loved camping and fishing, watching wrestling and west- erns on T V, and rock music. He is survived by his son, Billy Joe Foster, Jr., of Rock- ville; three daughters, Rebec- ca Jean Foster, of Mississippi, April Dawn Killion, of Wash- ington, and Jessica (Diego) Calderon, of Jasper; two sis- ters Angie Foster, of Wash- ington, and Jennette Foster, of Florida; and five grandchil- dren. He is preceded in death by his parents; three grandchil- dren; and a sister, Ramona Foster. A memorial service was at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2021, at Ed Lee Mortuary Downtown Chapel, with Adam Cissell officiating. Visitation was from 5 p.m. until service time on Monday at the chapel. Colvin, 79, of Washington, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Eastgate Manor. She was born on February 8, 1941, to Virgil J. and Mary "Alberta" (Norris) Burris. She was a loving wife and a loyal caregiver to her hus- band, Gerald. She loved tak- ing walks in nature, mow- ing the lawn and she enjoyed babysitting. She was a former member of St. Patrick Catho- lic Church of Corning and a member of St. Peter Catho- lic Church. She was extreme- ly strong in her Catholic faith. She is survived by two daughters, Brenda (Terry) Welch, of Petersburg, and Kim Fox, of Washington; three brothers, Ron "Govie" Burris, of Loogootee, Rick Burris, of Indianapolis, and Gary ( Wan- da) Burris, of Loogootee; sis- ter, Carol (Ron) Boyd, of Loo- gootee; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchil- dren; two sisters-in-law, Hel- en Burris and Leona Mathias, both of Loogootee; and broth- er-in-law, Mac McDonald, of Columbus. She preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ger- ald Colvin, whom she married on October 14, 1967; mother and father-in-law, Louis and Beulah (Craney) Colvin; two brothers, Joseph Bernard Burris and Mike Burris; two sisters, Betty McDonald and Mary Malinda Burris; son-in- law, Tim Fox; and four broth- ers-in-law, Edward ( Wanda) Colvin, Richard Colvin, Billy Colvin and Donald Mathias. A Mass of Christian Burial was at 1 p.m. on Monday, Janu- ary 18, 2021, at St. Peter Cath- olic Church, with Father Sud- hakar Bhastati as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery. RUTH ANN DUPPS Ruth Ann Dupps, 81, of Oakland City, entered rest on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Evansville. She was born on May 19, 1939, in Loogootee, to Glen and Helen (Soeder) Morgan. She graduated from St. John's High School in Loo- gootee. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cath- olic Church and had worked at Buehler's Buy-Low and East Gibson School Corpora- tion. She was an avid Indiana Pacer's fan, she loved playing Bunko, was a devoted John Wayne fan, and loved her fam- ily dearly. She is survived by her hus- band of 59 years, Ken Dup- ps; a daughter, Gina Dup- ps; sons, Gavin (Kim) Dup- ps and Craig (Sandy) Dup- ps, both of Oakland City, and Dean (Stephanie) Dupps, of Boonville; nine grandchil- dren; two great-grandchil- dren; sisters, Jane (Truman) Hedrick, of Martinsville, Mo- na Harrison, of Mooresville, and Tana (Fred) Porter, of Huntingburg; a brother, Ted es. He was self-employed in the logging, construction and scrap industry. He was proud of the fact he built a car crush- er and enjoyed working with bulldozers. Another proud moment was when he was in the Kennedy procession when Robert Kennedy made his way thorough Southwest Indiana in 1968. Survivors include his daugh- ter, Sandra "Sandi" Stewart, of Monroe City; son, Eric Stew- art, of Monroe City; the moth- er of his children; sister, Es- ther Hicks, of Rockport; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Idalea Linn; brothers, Paul and Na- than Stewart; and several niec- es and nephews. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Janu- ary 23, 2021, at Hamline Chap- el Cemetery in Monroe City, with Rev. Brenda Wick offici- ating.
