The Winslow Church of the Nazarene hosted their annual Mouse House and Santa Claus for children this past Saturday following the parade. Kids could buy items for parents and friends, and then the elves wrapped the presents. James Capozella photo MOUSE HOUSE Upcoming events at Dubois County Museum The Dubois County Mu- seum has decked out itself in the finest Christmas decorations for the holiday season. The museum elves have decorated about 20 trees throughout the mu- seum with bright lights, bold colors, and lovely or- naments and decorations. The Santa collection from Kay Smock is displayed in several display cases. Her collection of 1,000 pieces is a must see. This year a spe- cial group of military fam- ilies decorated patriotic trees in honor or memory of their loved ones serving in the military. Be sure to view these decorated trees in the Room III area. Special upcoming events are being offered for visitors. On Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10 the mu- seum will host its annual Cookie Walk from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Also Saturday, Dec 9, from 1-3 p.m. there will be Girl Scouts Christmas activities and program. All Girl Scouts in area are welcome. Revised exhibit of Girl Scouts unveiled. On Sunday, December 10 at 1:30 p.m. the Dubois County Cloggers present a Christmas Show. On Sunday, Dec. 17 at 1:30 p.m. Sue Lorey's Stu- dent Piano students will present a piano recital on the museum's Kimball grand piano. On Sunday and Monday, December 24—25 the mu- seum will be closed for Christmas Holiday During the Week of De- cember 26 thru December 29 Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Storytime for students will be Tues- day, Dec. 26, at 10 :30 a.m. Youngsters will hear sto- ries, make a New Year's Day craft and visit the mu- seum. Saturday, December 30 Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday, December 31—January 1, The museum will be Closed. Sunday, January 7—Will be the Last Day of Festival of Trees. The museum is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sat- urday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1- 4 p.m. and closed on Mon- day. The museum is lo- cated in Jasper at 2704 N.
