Conner Jasper Gabe Chaise Rocker Recliners UPGRADE TO POWER AND/OR MEMORY FOAM! By Cindy Petty SG Star-Times Staff Writer cpetty@sgstartimes.com Each year, I order my holiday pies from Teel's Coffee & Choco- late. Sonya Teel and family make the most delicious goodies and her baking has never failed me. She and Todd Teel have been serving sweets and coffees for quite a while, now at 2803 B West Broadway (in Town Fair Center). Each time you enter the shop, you smell the delicious aromas com- ing from the kitchen and from the espresso coffees. On Saturday, Dec. 9, Teel's Cof- fee & Chocolate will host an Open House with a variety of Holiday coffees for sampling, a drawing for holiday gifts and other good- ies. Holiday coffees will be 10 per- cent off that day. For every $25 spent that day, you receive an ad- ditional entry into the door prize drawing. Come see Santa from 10 a.m. to noon. Teel's offers everything from baked goods (pies, cakes, cook- ies, cake balls and cupcakes) to regular and diabetic chocolates, hand molded and dipped choco- late specialty items to loose-leaf and bagged teas. Sonya's holi- day baked goodies are not to be missed. She is still taking orders for Christmas (pies, pumpkin rolls, cupcakes and more.) The last day to place orders is Dec. 13, so hurry! One of the best-selling items in the store is their more than 50 different varieties of gourmet- flavored coffee beans. The beans can be ground in the store at no charge. During this holiday sea- son, you'll find a number of holi- day coffees, teas and hot choco- lates that are perfect for gifts or stocking stuffers. Sonya also has the perfect-potful packets of holi- day-flavored and more pre-ground coffee packets – perfect as a host- ess gift or stocking stuffer. Hol- iday coffee flavors include Win- ter Wonderland, Frosty's, Com- et's Caramel and Santa's S'more. Chocolate specials include chocolate pizza (a great fund- raising item for teams, Scout troops, etc.), homemade fudge, chocolate-covered bacon (a fa- vorite that nearly always sells out quickly), to Todd's own cre- ation, "Dirt Clods," not from the farm dirt but with nuts (pecans, cashews and almonds dipped in milk or dark chocolate). If you prefer white chocolate, they make them with the same nuts and are called "Cloud Clusters." You are on cloud nine when you eat them. Candy makers can find bulk chocolate, caramel and flavored oils for candy makings. Other in- store services include gift bas- kets, candy trays, specialized molded candy for weddings, com- pany parties, holiday parties, ba- by showers, etc. Sonya and her family – hus- band, Todd, daughters, Taran, Trianna, Taliyah and Trista, along with her good friend, Lynn, will be happy to assist you in your hol- iday purchases. Teel's Coffee & Chocolate is open for the month of December, Monday – Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. She will be open Sun- day, Dec. 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Christmas Eve, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for your stocking stuffer and last minute gifts. Teel's will be closed from Dec. 25 to Jan. 3. Call them at 812-385 -CAKE (2253). Looking for stocking stuffers, hostess gifts, or special choco- lates? Teels offers handmade chocolate treats. The young and young- at-heart love these candy sticks. WINSLOW CHRISTMAS PARADE Left: Most rode something in the Christmas parade, but many participants walked.
