Postcards this week at Sweets Column Winslow, IN 47598 were none, and our count is now # 636 that we have traveled to all over this world of ours. The Patoka River is almost full and the temps were nice until the weekend where we had heavy coat weather in the 30s and 40s but the first part of this week was in the 60s, but starting on Wednes- day or Thursday we should get snow flurries, so they say. The temps should get down into the high 20s at night and not too much high- er during the day. Could this really be the start of winter? We also had lots of frost sev- eral mornings last week. The deer season is still on until the end of this year so please watch the roads and also you may find a deer or two passing through your yard, just to get away from being someone's dinner. The Christmas songs are being played on radio, and so we were listening to them. There was one song I haven't heard for a very long time of "I'm getting nut- tin' for Christmas…..cause I been nuttin' but bad." I sang with this song and I al- most knew all the words, but this song was the first time Norm heard it. I told him I always think of Terri Ann when I hear this song. She will also agree with what I said. Saturday morning was the start of the cold weather just in time for the Christmas Pa- rade here in Winslow. The temp started out at 37 with a wind chill that dropped it by 2 degrees but it didn't stop our Winslow stars as they all lined up. Fire dept. were Spurgeon Monroe, Pa- toka Township, Petersburg
