Cast all your anxiety on him be- cause he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:6 -7, K JV ). Anxieties are everywhere in the world. We encoun- ter them everyday more that one time a day. Giving those anxieties to God can seem extremely hard to do. If we can humble ourselves before our God, who cares immensely for us, and give him our anxieties and wor- ries, he will take them be- cause he cares and loves us so much. Our mighty God can lift us out of the fog of worry and anxiety. All we have to do is be humble and patient. Give your worries to God and remember he loves you always. We welcome you to all services. Isn't it just like the devil to try to put sickness and disease on us so that as we offer up ourselves to God, we aren't walking in the fullness He has already provided to us? Don't be conformed to natu- ral thinking such as, "Well, it is cold and flu season, so I'll probably get it" or "I am get- ting older, so I can't expect my body to be as healthy as when I was younger." Those are lies from the enemy. Doesn't the Word of God say that Jesus took those stripes on His back for our healing? (Isaiah 53:5). That the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in us and af- fects our physical body? (Ro- mans 8:11). Yes it does! A dinner table loaded with food always provides some of the best times for our family to visit, unwind, and catch up on what is go- ing on in our worlds. Sitting around the table together always provides nourish- ment way beyond just phys- ical food; it nourishes our very souls. That is the im- age I get when David shows nourished sheep gaining more than just the physi- cal blessing; they are gifted with an emotional and spiri- tual blessing, as well. Community, family, and relationships are a big part of our lives and should be combined into the physi- cal needs of food and drink. "Lord, thank You for com- munity and family and the fulfillment that comes from them. Thank You for provid- ing our physical needs like food, water, and shelter. For- give us when we take our daily bread and drink for granted, and help us share that honored blessing with family and friends as much as possible. We love You and honor You today through the name of our Lord Jesus"— Amen. David Walton, Pastor Hope Barnett, Reporter WHITE RIVER CHAPEL UMC 3555 W. SR 56 in Bowman ZOAR U.M. CHURCH 8818 W.
