This year's Cleveland County fairgoers may indulge in all of the delights of the fair while taking steps to protect their health at the same time! The Cleveland County Health Department will be administering fl u shots for anyone 9 years of age or older at the fair on Thursday, September 27th - Saturday, September 29th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm in Dorton Exhibit Hall. Anyone interested in getting a fl u vaccination should bring their Insurance, Medicaid, or Medicare cards. There are criteria for receiving free fl u vaccinations. Individuals who are interested in learning more about these qualifi cations may contact the Cleveland County Health Department's Immunization Clinic at 704-484-5154. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) urges everyone to make a fl ue vaccination a priority this season. The fl u vaccine is safe and effective and the best way to prevent the fl u. In addition to vaccination, individuals should continue practicing healthy habits to protect themselves from fl u viruses: • Cover your nose and mouth with tissue when you cough or sneeze.
