That's the date of the Cleveland County Job Fair, which will be held at the LeGrand Center on the campus of Cleveland Community College (CCC) in Shelby from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sponsored by CCC and the Cleveland Community College Foundation, the event is open to the public. "Participants will have the opportunity to meet one- on-one with hiring manag- ers," says Chad Chastain, direc- tor of workforce development at CCC. "We will have more than 60 companies represented – ranging from architecture to health science to information technology." Chastain encourages job seekers to wear professional attire and to bring 20 résumés. For help with preparing for the job fair, the college and foundation are offering free workshops on creat- ing "the perfect résumé." The workshops will be held at the NC Works Office (for- merly the Employment Security Commission), located at 404 East Marion Street in Shelby.
