You can use paper products, fine china, whatever your waiter will know where to place dirty dishes to be taken home to be washed. Each person decorating their table will be responsible to clean their table. Tickets can be sold to men and women. Please write the name of ticket holder on back of ticket for door prize drawing. We will have somebody in the foyer taking up tickets. Bring salt and pepper shakers and a little container to hold packets of creamer, sugar and splenda packets if you have something to match your table setting. Do favors for your guests. Do not spend a lot on this. Could be candy in a bag or con- theme you want. After dinner, clear your table. You will be responsible for all your items. Safe Driving Class Driving Program includes a comprehensive curriculum designed especially for the older motorist. Participants age 50 and above will refine existing skills and develop safe, defensive driving techniques. Also included is a review on how to handle adverse weather conditions and traffic hazards as well as learn about the effects of aging and medications on driving. For more information or to register (everyone must pre-register) for the class, please call Course several times a year, which are taught by AARP trained instructors. If you missed the Spring class, have no fear, because the next class is just around the corner. The class will be offered at the Leona Smith Neal Senior Center, located at 100 T.R. Harris Drive, Shelby, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on August 15, 2012. As we age, our reflexes become slower, our vision and hearing gradually diminish; all of which affects our ability to drive safely. The AARP's Safe The Council on Aging/Senior Center offers the AARP's Safe Driving Harris Drive, Shelby, N.C. will be having a covered dish luncheon on Friday, August 10th and 24th, 2012 from 11:30-1:00 p.m. in the Dining Room. Everyone is invited to attend. Please bring your favorite dish and join in all the fun. If it is more convenient, feel free to contribute by bringing something purchased at the grocery store or a local restaurant. Covered Dish Luncheon Rules: Everyone must bring something to share unless you are a first time visitor.
