August ...Still Summer! The weekend looks like a typical Summer pattern that we've been having for the last couple of months. We still have the 3 H's. (Heat, Haze and Humidity). Each day will see a build up of puffy cumulus clouds in the afternoons and some areas will get wet, while adjacent communities get skipped. Overall it looks like a normal August pattern with a "Bermuda High" offshore pumping in Gulf moisture and normal heat levels. Meanwhile the Plains and Southwest states are still really too hot and too dry. The tropics in the Atlantic are showing some development and pretty soon I may have to be talk- ing about a new named storm but for now, we just have our regular afternoon storms.
