Testimony and recogni- tion were held at Love Valley Baptist Church on Saturday, July 28th. Over 275 men have come through The Master's House program. David Piercy, welcomes A plaque of appreciation was given to Leroy Dubre who has, through the Boy Scouts, helped The Master's House since the beginning. The Boy Scouts contribute food to help feed the resi- dents of the house. Pastor Barry Philbeck of Love Valley Baptist Church offered congratulations to all on the success of the Master's House church out- reach program. Well over 50 people attended the anniversary celebration. It was a very humble, yet enlightening meeting, to be surrounded by successful and grateful men who once were residents at "The Master's House". It was a most appropriate selec- tion. The existence and success of "The Master's House" at 727 Polkville Road in Shelby is truly an amazing work in prog- ress. The ministry helps to direct men who are down and out become an impor- tant part of society and shows them the Christian way of life. Founded by David Piercy, who is now the Executive Director, the Master's House is present- ly involved in a fundraising drive to finally get their own home with expanded facili- ties. Thus far, they have raised $22,000. The goal is $100,000. The afternoon of Saturday, July 28 pre- sented men who now have a new life and direction because of The Master's House.
