"I have participated in this event for years," says Melinda White, DO, Primary Care Dignity Health Medical Foundation and Board Member of Physicians Medical Group of Santa Cruz (PMG). "It gives me a chance to connect with my patients outside of the office and enjoy a relaxed, fun environment with them." e Aging Young Health and Wellness Event for Seniors, hosted by Dignity Health Medical Founda- tion, Physicians Medical Group of Santa Cruz, and Dignity Health Dominican Hospital, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m.-noon at a new location: the Seascape Golf Club in Aptos. We will be packing the venue with free health screenings, exciting local venders, delicious snacks, and presen- tations on everything from maintaining athleticism to practicing proper sleeping habits. e Aging Young fair draws a loyal crowd of attendees, who have raved that it is a "wonderful event," and that "everyone is very helpful and knowl- edgeable." We are so proud to bring this opportunity to the community, and we work hard to maintain the high level of expert medical information and diver- sity of specialty care every single year. We believe that everyone's health is important, and that quality care lies in the crossroads between patient education and connecting patients with the wealth of local health and wellness resources available to them. Due to an increase in attendance and request for more exhibit space, this year's Aging Young event has moved to the beautiful Seascape Golf Club in Aptos. More than forty vendors from local health care and wellness organizations will provide help- ful information and fun giveaways. As always, free health screenings will be provided, including glucose, cholesterol checks, balance assessment, skin checks, and more. e event also will feature presentations from PMG and Dignity Health Medical Foundation physicians about getting better sleep, staying active throughout your life, dementia and its warning signs, the human eye as it ages, and the symptoms of stroke. Information and registration for the Aging Young Health and Wellness Event for Seniors can be found at www.mysantacruzdoctor.org. Registration for cholesterol screenings can be completed by calling 831.465.7818.
