She is survived by her hus- band, Roy Donald Dedmon of Shelby, NC; one son, Rodney Kevin Dedmon, Sr., and wife, Myra Royster Dedmon; two grandsons; and two sib- lings, sister, Doris Spangler Dedmon and brother, James C. A celebration of life was held at Crowe's Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bruce Hill; and her parents, Oscar and Margaret Beam Duncan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Jean McSwain Wortman; his parents, John Wortman and Hattie Mae Hunt Wortman; and a granddaughter. A Service of Worship in mem- ory and celebration of Peter was held at Hoey Memorial United Methodist Church, Shelby, NC. Interment was at Cleveland Memorial Park immediately following the ser- vice. Mr. Ferriera served our country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. For his ser- vice he received the Victory Medal, the American Theatre Medal, a Three Star Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal, and the Philippines Liberation Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Ferreira and Delphina Lemos Ferreira; a brother and three sisters. Mr. Ferriera is survived by his wife, Jeannette Ferreira; and children, David, Delores, Diane, Debbie, Robert, Doris, and Valerie; twenty six grand- children; and forty-one great grandchildren.
