Ages 11-18 are welcome to join us on Monday, May 18, 2015 or Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, at Cherryville Little Theatre. Rehearsals will be held Monday - Friday, July 20, 2015 through August 6, 2015, from 9:00am - 3:00pm. Performance Dates will be August 6-9, 2015. REUNIONS REUNIONS D&O Warehouse Reunion D&O Warehouse will hold a reunion on Saturday, April 25, 2015, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm, at Golden Coral, Shelby, NC. 1990 to 2000. Questions, call 704-466-9820. Shelby High School Class Reunion The Shelby High School class of 1965 is planning a 50 year reunion Friday, May 15, 2015, and Saturday, May 16, 2015. Friday, from 6:00- 8:00pm, there will be a "meet and greet" at the Don Gibson Theatre. Hor d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available. At 8:00pm, there will be an optional concert of R&B oldies featuring "Images." There is a $20 charge for the concert. On Saturday from 2:00-4:00pm, there will be a tour of Shelby High, and placing of a plaque marking a Ginko Tree given by this class. It will be followed by an ice cream social. That evening, from 6:00-7:00pm, there will be a social time and cash bar at the Legrand Center. From 7:00-8:00pm, there will be a meal catered by Smoke on the Square. And from 8:00-11:00pm, there will be a time to relive the memories. The cost for admission to the Legrand Center is $50 per person. Dress is casual for all events. Junior Charity League of Shelby, Inc. The Junior Charity League of Shelby, NC, proudly presents its 1st Annul Charity Chase 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, April 25, 2015. With start and fi nish lines at the Shelby City Park, the course winds through the beautiful Sunset Cemetery where the late country music legend and Shelby native, Don Gibson, was laid to rest. Runners will pass Betty Singleton Holdridge's inspirational tombstone, which reads, "She came to Shelby as a simple fat lady in the fair. She left this earth as our friend." The course continues to the Historical District of Uptown Shelby, looping around the Courtsquare that houses the Earl Scruggs Center. This museum is dedicated to preserving the life story of legendary fi ve-string banjo master and Cleveland County native, Earl Scruggs. Runners will make their fi nal push back to the fi nish line at the Shelby Park where the award cel- ebration will take place. 100% of proceeds will be used to purchase new clothing and hygiene items for Cleveland County children in need.
