April, who grew up in Cary, NC, now lives in Boiling Springs. She retired from teaching at Burns High School. The book includes her poetry, written about some of her life experiences. The books are available on Amazon.com or may be purchased at the book signing from 2:00-3:30pm at Double Springs Church family life center. April will speak about the book a 2:30. Cherie survived an abusive and addictive home only to learn at age 17 that she would be confi ned to a wheelchair for life. Later, the mother of young children, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Her testimony of surviving life's storms will leave you laughing but encouraged. The $10 ticket includes dinner, which begins at 6:00pm.
