NWA Father/Son Adventure Weekend New Wilderness Adventures' Father/Son Adventure Weekend Sept 23-25 at River Ministry Lodge in Rutherfordton NC. The purpose of the week- end is to give fathers and sons time in an adventure setting where they can connect or re-connect, establishing the father as his son's hero and mentor all the while growing stronger in the Lord together. Don't worry guys. The NWA team will walk with you through this. Some of the activities to choose from include: archery, skeet shooting, canoeing, hiking, survival and fi shing. Cost $150 per pair ($50 each additional son). Sons 7 and up please. Church groups welcome. This includes all lodging, food, activities/adventure, and study materials. Mosses Ross Family Reunion The Mosses Ross Family Reunion will be held on Sunday, September 25 at 1:30. On Saturday September 24th from 8am-1pm Sterling House Shelby, an assisted living community will be holding their fi fth annual yard sale, silent auction and hot dog lunch sale with proceeds ben- efi ting the Alzheimer's Association.The Silent Auction will feature items from local restaurants, businesses, and artisans. The yard sale is one of the largest in the county of the year with items ranging from furniture, household items, children's clothing and toys, adult cloth- ing, baby items, and more. Mother of Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor To Speak at Life Enrichment Denise Boggs will bring her message of how not only to sur- vive TBI but also to thrive when she presents a program at Life Enrichment Center Adult Day Health Service in Shelby Tuesday, Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. It is free of charge and open to anyone interested in learning more about TBI, which is defi ned as an injury to the brain caused by an external trauma such as from a fall, car crash, sports injury, being shaken or concussion blasts such as sus- tained by active duty military personnel. The parade begins on Lafayette at Marietta, contin- ues past the court square, turns right on Graham and ends in an empty lot on Graham and Market St. The Homecoming game will be Friday, September 30 against Patton High School at 7:30 p.m. at Blanton Stadium.
