Our area last saw the ball of fire last Thursday, and now we're still stuck in the clouds and rain. It looks like the winds will finally come in from the west over the weekend, and that should be just the ticket to clear out the low clouds and let the sun finally come back into view. But there will still be a closed low swirling to our north over the weekend, bringing a lot of rain to the east coast, so I can't rule out a couple more rounds of rain over the weekend or even early next week. But I do think some sun- shine will be mixed in too. Say goodbye to the heat for a while, next week looks chilly, especially at night!
