She was preceded in death by her husband Richard “Toby” Blanton; her parents, Grover and Annie Dayberry Lowery; and her brother, Dennis Lowery. She is survived by her son Tim Blanton and fiancée Michelle Ethridge of Grover; one sister, Pam Lowery of Shelby; one brother Steve Lowery and wife Marie of Bostic; three grandchildren, Wade, Gage, and Toby Blanton. Mrs. Morton was preced- ed in death by her parents, Nathaniel Meekins Hudson and Mary Sue Benton Hudson; three brothers, William Hudson, Clarence Gladden, Thomas Hudson, and one sister, Louise Acuff.
