Boiling Springs Centennial Celebration Continues The Boiling Springs Museum, 103 South Main Street, Boiling Springs, NC, will once again be open with a display of “Businesses: Then & Now”, beginning on Saturday, July 9, from 10:00am- 4:00pm. It will continue for one week only, until Saturday, July 16, 10:00-2:00pm, so if you’re interested in Boiling Springs Town History, you’ll enjoy this walk back in time from 100 years ago till today. Back-To-School Mission Project 2011 Our Back To School Mission Project will be held Saturday, August 13th from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the NC Baptist Mission Camp. Cleveland County Memorial Library Readers of all ages will travel the globe this sum- mer as the Cleveland Memorial Library presents “One World, Many Stories,” during the summer reading pro- gram. Children will explore places from Africa, China , England , Italy , and Japan to Mexico through stories, crafts, music, games, dance, and other activities. The Summer Reading Program is open to young people, pre-school through 6th grade, with programs, story-hours, reading for prizes and more. The Summer Reading Program will last six weeks now to July 28th. No pre-registration is required and all pro- grams are free to the public. GSCT Presents Baseball Play GSCT presents hilarious Baseball Play! Just in time for the American Legion World Series, Greater Shelby Community Theatre is producing the laugh- out-loud baseball comedy, “Rounding Third”! Sometimes emotional, sometimes funny, the PG 13 play (directed by Linda Bogan) tells the story of 2 Little League baseball coaches with very different coaching philosophies. Performances will be at the Keeter Auditorium, CCC. Performance dates/times are July 15,16,22,and 23 at 7:30pm and July 17 and July 24 at 2:30pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. Shelby Life Enrichment Center Discussing the joys and frustrations of caring for someone with dementia, will be the topic of the regular meeting of family caregivers at the Shelby Life Enrichment Center Tuesday, July 19, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is free of charge and open to caregivers of adults. A sitter service is provided free of charge for the adult, but a reserva- tion is required by calling 704-484-0405 by July 12. Life Enrichment, an adult day care and health service, has been caring for adults for more than 31 years. The Life Enrichment Center is located at 110 Life Enrichment Blvd., Shelby, NC. Youth Rally At The Holly Oak Park Gym Higher Focus and Push Back Ministries, along with local area min- istries, in conjunction with Shelby City Parks & Recreation will hold a Youth Rally at the Holly Oak Park (gym) on Saturday, July 23, from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. They will be giving out clothes and food. There will be Help Booths for pregnancy resources, college guidance and health department issues, etc. Bands, singing, preaching, prize drawings and ministry dancing will all be a part of the activities.
