Mr. Willis served our coun- try in the U.S. Army where he fought in World War II, serv- ing 2-1/2 years with the 86th Infantry Division in Europe and the Philippines. He attained the rank of Corporal and was decorated with the American Theatre Service Medal; EAME Service Medal with one bronze service star; and the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob Hoyle Willis and Cordie Peeler Willis; 1 brother, Ira Willis; and 2 sisters, Mary W. Crowe and Ora Mae W. Sweatmon.
