Quick Changing Pattern...After a nice weekend, things will begin to change quickly here in the later part of October. The jetstream is beginning to dive further south and tighten up, which will start to push a parade of storms across the country. The storms will come in from the Pacific Ocean and take a track across the Plains and head for our area by next week. The winds aloft are becoming very strong, so some of these cold fronts will by dynamic and have excel- lent support. Also, the first in a series of storms could have a line of severe weather or a tornado outbreak just to our west, so we’ll have to be paying close attention early next week. Usually “la nina” Autumn and Winters are notorious for twister outbreaks across the Deep South, and we’re in exactly that pattern. Also, expect some very windy days as these systems pass by next week, so hold on to your hat.
