Ellis, Second In Walnut Valley National Mountain Dulcimer Championship On September 17, Bradley Ellis of Grover, NC participated in the Walnut Valley National Mountain Dulcimer Championship. Bradley fi nished second behind Aaron O’Rourke, a 25 year old from Tallahassee, FL. This 39th International Convention for Acoustic String Musicians was held in Winfi eld, Kansas. Bradley played a dulcimer built for him by his grandfather, Ray Anthony. Bradley is pictured with the trophy and dulcimer pre- sented to him by the McSpadden Dulcimer Company. Knobby Captured By Bar H Arena Knobby of Casar fame has been captured and will be on display at the Bar H Arena during the annual Bar H Haunted Hayride and Maze. The event will be on Friday and Saturday October 22-23 and October 29-30. The scares begin each day at dark and will go until…….. Knobby was not easy to capture but it was accomplished with the aid of a net and stale cookies. Once the secret of Knobby’s transformation was discovered, we know why no one had been able to capture him or even to be able to see the wolf/ape creature often. The secret will be revealed during the Haunted Hayride. Knobby is just one of many creatures at this year’s event. If you want fun and scares, the Bar H Haunted Hayride is for you. Group discount may be obtained for Friday nights. Boiling Springs Lifesaving and Rescue will be handling the concessions and will be available for those unable to handle the scares. The maze is again available at the Haunted Hayride. See if you can find your way through it. Discounts will be given to anyone going to the hayride and trying their luck in the maze also.
