The snowflakes fall gen- tly from the sky, covering the earth in a pristine white. The air is crisp, and a quietness envelops the surroundings. Similarly, on that holy night in Bethlehem, as Mary and Joseph welcomed the Son of God into the world, there was a profound silence that sur- rounded the stable. The world held its breath, as if in awe of the miraculous event taking place. It was a moment frozen in time, where heaven and earth met in perfect harmony. This silence symbolizes the peace that Jesus brings into our lives. Isaiah 9:6 (ESV) says, "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." REST The world we live in is marked by constant noise and distractions. Our hearts long for a respite, a moment to pause and find solace. Jesus offers us exactly that. His birth reminds us that amid a bustling world, we can find rest in him. In life's chaos, he invites us to find rest in him and experience the tran- quility of His presence. In Mat- thew 11:29 (AMP), Jesus says, "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me [following Me as My disciple], for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST (renewal, blessed quiet) FOR YOUR SOULS." These words speak directly to the weariness and burdens we carry. Jesus understands our struggles, and he offers us a place of refuge where we can find renewal and strength. He promises to quiet our restless hearts and fill us with his unending love. During this Christmas season, may we take the time to be still and embrace the peace that Jesus offers. Let us quiet our minds and allow His presence to calm our souls. PRAY THIS PRAYER: Father, my heart is grateful for the gift of Christ. He is Em- manuel - God with us. I praise you for always being with me, and showering me with your love, peace, provision, and good- ness. I ask that this season you will use me to point others to you - the greatest Christmas gift. In Jesus' name. Amen. CONNECTING TO GOD This Christmas season you can accept the best gift you will ever receive -Salvation. It in- cludes forgiveness of sins, an eternal relationship with the Cre- ator of the Universe, a purpose- filled life, guidance to walk the earth victoriously and so much more. Will you receive this gift by believing that Jesus died for your sins? If yes, ask God to for- give you of your sins and tell him that you surrender your life to him.
