He was born on the 18th of May in 1965 in Silver Spring, MD and was the son of James H. Minnick III and wife Edith Mae Kesecker both of whom preceded him in death. Scott is survived by his wife, Libby Minnick of Kings Mountain; two sisters; Laurie and husband Rodney Heflin of Cherryville, Linda and husband Steve Duncan of Maiden; four brothers; Vince Minnick of Kings Mountain, Steve Minnick and wife Jenny of Laurinburg, Hunter Minnick and wife Donna of Alabama, and Jimmy Minnick and wife Susan of Georgia; one daughter, Ann and husband Chad Johnson; one son, Chris Chambers; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A Private service was held on Saturday, April 15, 2023. EDITH CAROLYN EARLEY Edith Carolyn Earley, age 78, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023. Carolyn was born Sunday, December 10, 1944 in Rutherford County to the late Britt Vickers and Margaret James Vickers. Those left to cherish fond memories are her hus- band, Leroy Earley; son, Scott Earley (Christie) of Anderson, SC and Anita Earley (Ricky) of Ellenboro and her four grandchildren. The funeral service was held April 25, 2023 at Caroleen United Methodist Church. Interment follow at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. NANCY CHRISTINE ROBERTSON CAROWAY Mrs. Nancy Christine Robertson Caroway, 90, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Born in Henderson County, NC on January 13, 1933, Mrs. Caroway was the daughter of the late Carl and Viola Penley Robertson. She was also pre- ceded in death by her hus- band, Raynos Caroway. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Moore of Black Mountain, NC, Peggy Buchanan and husband John of Shelby, NC, and Brenda Lyda and husband Jim of Mills River, NC, one sister, Shirley Pace of Hendersonville, NC; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Dot was born on October 20, 1929 in Gaston County, to the late Clarence Calvin Turner and Alma Jordan Turner. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Scism; a son, Donny Scism; a grandson; and two broth- ers and two sisters. Survivors include a daugh- ter, Lynn Smith of Lawndale; two sons, Rusty Scism of Charlotte and Mike Scism and wife, Wanda of Waco; three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and her half siblings, Rod Turner and Colette Walker. Adam was born on November 16, 1991 in Cleveland County, NC, the son of Timothy Doster and Tracy Mull Doster. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and his paternal grandparents. In addition to his parents, survivors include his fiance, Erica Pennigton of the home; two sons, Tyler Gage Doster of Kings Mountain and Austin Silvers Doster of Marion; a step daughter, Madison Pennigton; two sisters, Cynthia Belcher and husband Jason of Kings Mountain; Heather Doster of West Virginia; and maternal grandmother.
