He was born in Wilmington, NC March 5, 1950. Mr. Reid served our country in the U.S. Army. He was preced- ed in death by his Mother, Katie; his grandfather; wife, Pam. Ken is survived by his son, Paul Reid, his daughter-in- law, Tasha Reid; his brother, Michael Johnson; and his sisters, Karyn Chester and Sharyn Ingram. Memorial services were held January 4, 2023 at Crowe's Mortuary with Military Honors. EMILY BELL CHURCH FOWLER Emily Bell Church Fowler, age 80, of Shelby, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. She is survived by her daughter, Janet Walker (John) of Shelby, NC, two grandchil- dren; three great grandchil- dren; a brother, Mike Church of Shelby, NC. Born August 27, 1942 in Cleveland County, NC, Emily was the daughter of the late Claude Herman Church and Jessie Pearl Bridges Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Olin Fowler; a brother, Allen Church; and three sisters, Jessie Goins, Pat Cornwell, home, a son, Mark Taylor (Dee) of Inman, SC, a grand- daughter, three brothers, Joe Taylor (Emma Jean) of Franklin, NC, John Taylor (Kay) of Shelby, NC, and Jim Taylor (Cheryl) of Shelby, NC, and two sisters-in-law, Brenda Davis (Harvey) of Boiling Springs, NC, and Teresa Warlick (Arthur) of Boiling Springs, NC. Born October 8, 1944, in Macon County, NC, Buddy was the son of the late Walter C. Taylor Sr., and Nancy Justice Taylor and was pre- ceded in death by a brother, Jack Taylor. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Gene Spangler and wife Versie. He is survived by his wife, Joreka Martin Spangler; two sons, Mike Spangler and wife Betty Jean and David Spangler and wife Gina all of Fallston; two brothers, Jack Spangler and wife Diane of Belwood and Roger Spangler and wife Carla of Shelby; and two grandchildren. Surviving Mr. Poole are his wife, Myra; two sons, Brandon Poole (Giuseppina) and Jerry Poole, Jr.; two daughters, Tonya Wallace (Robert) and Wendy Collins (Travis); his five grandchil- dren; and his brother, Mick Poole (Sue).
