John was born Friday, February 20, 1948 in Rutherford County to the late Golden Valley Murray and Blanche Hastings Murray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Grayson; sis- ters, Betty Rayfield, Roxanne Nanney; brother, Jessie Murray and two grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Deb Murray; children, Tammy Bailey (Randy) of Forest City, Michael Murray (Audrey) of Rutherfordton, Wendi Burke (Jerry) of Forest City, John V. Murray of Green Hill, Amy Murray (Chris) of Mt.
