She was born in Gastonia, NC on August 8, 1943. She was predeceased by her parents, Carlos McCreight, Ruby McCreight, Ruth McCreight, her hus- band, First Sergeant Carroll Gerald Scruggs; and her sib- lings: Katie Clark, Carolyn Holland, Patsy Ballantine, David McCreight, Carlos (Bobby) McCreight, Jr. and Buddy Bowen. She is survived by five children: Carroll Scruggs, Jr. (Missy), Debbie Scruggs (Scott), Richie Scruggs (Tammy), Eddie Scruggs (Cindy) and Gary Scruggs; sisters-in-law, Anne Stanley (Richard) and Ollie Garmon; step-sister, Kay Schambacher (Tom). and ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
