MADISON RILEY The Pike County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship was created by the Cham- ber to help Pike County stu- dents with post-secondary ed- ucation. This year's recipient is Madison Riley. Madison is the daughter of Kay Ann and David Riley of Petersburg. She will attend Oakland City Uni- versity and study elementary education on her path to be- coming an Elementary Teach- er. This award is for $ 600. ALAINA MCCLELLAN The Pike Central Alum- ni Scholarship was funded originally by the Pike Central Class of 1975, the first grad- uating class of Pike Central. The recipient of this year's scholarship is Alaina McClel- lan of Hazleton. Alaina is the daughter of Angela Furman of Hazleton and Chad McClellan of Petersburg. Alaina plans to study biology at Indiana Uni- versity and then enter medi- cal school to become a Pathol- ogist. This scholarship is val- ued at $1,000 and is renewable for an additional two years. EVERETT ATTAWAY The 2022 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship re- cipient is Everett Attaway. Ev- erett is the son of Roy and Tra- cy Attaway of Winslow. Ever- ett has chosen to attend Rose Hulman in Terre Haute. He will study civil engineering. This scholarship covers tui- tion and fees for 4 years.
