Southridge beat Pike Cen- tral 5 -0. "I think we played pret- ty well against Southridge. They had played some pret- ty good tennis the last couple of weeks and it showed," said Charger Coach Brent Beck. The match had been moved indoors due to rain. "It was a good experience for the girls to play indoors in a match due to the rain, but playing indoors didn't really effect any team in a negative way," said Beck. Pike Central's number one singles Jamie Sallee fell to Southridge's Oliva Durcho- lz 6 -1, 6 -2. At number two singles, Ella McGuire lost to Southridge's Olivia Lopez 6 - 2, 6 -2 and at number three singles Gabby Collins lost to Southridge's Kate Durcholz 6 -1, 6 -0. In doubles, the team of Jor- dan Biel and Kelby LaRoche of Southridge beat Reagan Craig and Shelby Keeker 6 - 1, 6 -3. At number two dou- bles Lilian Mann and Eibh- lin Teague of Pike Central lost 6 -0, 6 -3. "Summer workouts will begin next week and I cer- tainly am looking forward to getting back on the courts," said Beck. Eagles donate $1,000 for park upgrades Tom Coleman of the Winslow Eagles presents Tim Stafford with the Pike County Little League a check for $1,000 to help make improvements to the Winslow ball parks. Teague also finished third in the 3200.
