12 • Terre Haute Tribune-Star • May 1 - 7, 2022 BY JAY BOBBIN Family Viewing Ratings AS Adult situations P Profanity V Violence N Nudity GV Graphic Violence "DOG" (May 10) "THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK CLASSICS COLLECTION: VOLUME 2" (4K Ultra HD) (May 10) "INFINITE" (May 17) "LICORICE PIZZA" (May 17) "SUCCESSION: THE COMPLETE THIRD SEASON" (May 17) "THE BATMAN" (May 24) (UPCOMING RELEASES) "Dog" "BLACKLIGHT" Liam Neeson remains in the mode he established with "Taken" in this action tale, casting him as a rogue government agent who discovers a murder conspiracy after a fellow operative is killed. His boss (Aidan Quinn) appears to be in on the plot, prompting him to seem the help of a reporter (Emmy Raver-Lampman, "The Umbrella Academy") ... which becomes more critical when his own loved ones are threatened. As usual, Neeson plays both solid and vulnerable quite well in the circumstances. DVD extras: two "making-of" documentaries. ››› (PG-13: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray, Digital and On Demand) "WITHOUT REMORSE" Though Jack Ryan isn't present in this Tom Clancy story, many of the themes surely will seem familiar to fans of adventures that have featured that character. Made for theatrical release but ultimately premiered on Prime Video instead, the tale features Michael B. Jordan as a Navy SEAL who has a personal reason for pursuing Russian operatives he helped rescue a CIA officer from. Government caution over global relations prompts the SEAL to go rogue, putting himself at ever-heightened risk as his targets also continue to go their own way without their bosses' sanction. "Yellowstone" co- creator Taylor Sheridan co-wrote the script. Jamie Bell, Jodie Turner-Smith, Guy Pearce and Cam Gigandet also appear. ››› (R: AS, P, V) (Also on Blu-ray) "A WEEK IN PARADISE" "Billions" alum Malin Akerman stars in this scenic romance as an internationally popular actress who desperately needs time out of the spotlight when her filmmaker husband's scandalous link to another woman is exposed. She heads for the Caribbean to stay with her cousin (Connie Nielsen), and at that resort, she and the chef (former "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" regular Philip Winchester) take a shine to each other. Of course, just as things are progressing nicely on that front, the life she's trying to leave behind suddenly resurfaces forcefully. ››› (PG-13: AS, P) "KING OTTO" An amazing international sports story is told in director Christopher Andre Marks' engrossing documentary that recalls the Greek National Football Team's victory at the 2004 European Championships. The squad's coach, Otto Rehhagel, is the "King Otto" in question ... who left his life in Germany behind to lead the athletes to their win. Though the outcome has been known for the better part of a decade, there's still an emotional wallop to watching it as it happens here. ››› (Not rated: P) (Also on Blu-ray and On Demand) "NATURE: AMERICAN HORSES" If you have a favorite breed of horse that's indigenous to the United States, chances are good that it's covered by this recent episode of the PBS series. The Mustang and the Appaloosa are among those whose own stories are closely linked to the bigger saga of the entire country. S everal breeders offer comments about their experiences with the animals, and the program is narrated by someone with more than a casual knowledge of horses: actor Bill Pullman, who runs a ranch along with his brother. ››› (Not rated) "THE GOOD FIGHT: SEASON FIVE" Since its parent show "The Good Wife" ran for six years, this streaming spinoff is closing in on that tenure with its upcoming sixth season. In this set of episodes, the Paramount+ law drama – known for injecting whimsy at unexpected moments – loses former regulars Cush Jumbo and Delroy Lindo, but adds the ever-noteworthy Mandy Patinkin as a self-styled judge who holds his own form of court. The coronavirus pandemic factors into the stories here, as does the Supreme Court, with Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) excited about her opportunity to argue a case there ... until a real-life tragedy intervenes. Guest stars include Hugh Dancy (who's now on the revived "Law & Order"), recent Oscars co-host Wanda Sykes, Stephen Lang and Wayne Brady. Audra McDonald and Michael Boatman also star. ››› (Not rated: AS, P) Christine Baranski in "The Good Fight" For me, it's an immigrant story. I mean, it's the beginnings of America, and I think that's what drew me to it in the first place ... this idea that (with) the America that I currently live in and have grown to love, the origins are messy and brutal and not always tied up with a neat bow." – Tom Blyth of "Billy the Kid" on EPIX F s b I to i t h o a a o "As an actor, I must admit I do enjoy the more dramatic work. I feel more challenged by it. And as crazy as it might sound, it is more fun for me, but I would love to do some sort of comedy. Romantic comedies are my favorite genre." – Elisabeth Moss of "Shining Girls" on Apple TV+ " a d m A s m d R m E " T 812-446-2636 Towne Park is now Medicaid Waiver approved.
