Bobby was born Friday, June 14, 1935 in Cleveland County to the late Carl Green Blanton and Docia Patterson Blanton. He served our country in the U.S. Navy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, CG, Bill, Jack, Louis, Finley, and Don Blanton; sisters, Janie Harris, Elizabeth Brewer and Nellie Kimbrell, and a son Alvin Blanton. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Blanche Williams Blanton; a son, Dennis Blanton (Cindy); a brother, Sam Blanton (Liz); seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
