Myron was born in Fallston on December 12, 1941, to John "Ralph" Royster and Inez Cornwell Royster. Myron is survived by his wife, Vickie; daughter, Myra Royster Dedmon and hus- band, Rodney; and son Brian Ralph Royster; five grand- children; three great grand- children; brother George Royster, and wife Judy; and sister-in-law, Terry Royster. In addition to his father Ralph, he was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Cornwell Royster; and broth- er John Thomas "Tommy" Royster. STACY NELSON OATES Stacy Nelson Oates, 50, native of Cleveland County, passed away on Friday, January 14, 2022. He is predeceased by his mother, Patricia Goins; father, Jerry Oates; paternal and maternal grandparents; and sisters, Amanda Oliver and Robin Sanders. Stacy is survived by his wife, Angie Oates of the home; sons, Justin Bradburn and Kale Oates; a grand- daughter; and brother, Phil Sanders. CHARLES ANDERSON CARRIGAN Charles Anderson Carrigan, 80, passed away on February 14, 2022. Born in Gaston County on July 14, 1941, he was the son of the late John William Carrigan and Nadine Carrigan Hedgepath. In addi- tion to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by his sister, Ritta Carrigan. Mr. Carrigan served our country in the U.S. Marine Corp. He is survived by his wife, Betty Hanna Carrigan of Kings Mountain; four children-Sherry Rippy (Michael), Jimmy D. Faulkner Jr (Lynn), Lisa Yarbro (Leslie), and Tonya Leatherman (Scott); and eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Funeral service was held February 19, 2022 at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC with Pastor Michael Chambers officiating. Burial followed the service in the church cemetery. Born in Cleveland County on August 3, 1947, he was the son of the late Coleman Edward and Thelma E. Wright. Sonny is survived by his wife, Linda Fortenberry Wright; his two sisters, Judy W. Charlie was born to the late Lester Columbus and Pearl Tucker Dick in Albemarle, NC. Charlie is survived by his wife, Catherine; his sons: Charles Thomas Dick I (Tommy) and John-Michael Dick I, their brides, his daughters-in-love Brittany Pearl, and Brittany Michael; and three grandchildren and two soon to arrive. WILLIAM DAVID BURTON William David Burton, 52, of Shelby, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Born in Cleveland County on October 23, 1969, he was the son of Patsy Ann Huss Bright. He was preceded in death by one sister, Tonya Curry. In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Tammy Annette Greene; two sons, Josh Burton (Brittany Pearson) and Wesley Burton (Karena Causby) both of Shelby; five grandchildren; and a sis- ter, Tammy McNeely and husband, Darrell of Kings Mountain. Sidney "Sid" Stern Dixon Jr., of Shelby, passed away on February 13, 2022. A native of North Carolina, he is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith Dixon of Shelby, his daughter, Laura Dixon Lampley of Shelby and her husband Chuck Lampley; his son, Sidney Stern Dixon III of Charlotte, and his wife, Louise Dixon; and five grandchildren. Sid was born in 1934 in Hookerton, NC, to Sidney Stern Dixon and Marjorie Floyd Dixon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Floyd Dixon Barlow, of Kannapolis as well as his parents. MORRIS ANDREWS LACEY Morris Andrews Lacey, resident of Shelby, NC and formerly of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Friday, February 11, 2022. He was born in Avon Park, Florida on August 18, 1925 to Joseph and Elizabeth Lacey. Mr. Lacey served our country in the U.S. Navy. Morris was pre- ceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joe Lacey, Jr.; his sister, Emily Lacey McGregor; and Katharine Steiner Lacey, his former wife and the mother of his daughters. He is survived by his wife, Mabel Baird Lacey; his chil- dren: Anne Lacey and her husband, Mark Rausher; Margaret Lacey Murphy; Mabel's sons, Chuck Lampley, his wife, Laura; Mark Lampley, his wife, Karen; six grandchildren; and five step-great grand- children. He was a native of Rutherford County and the son to the late John Robert Humphries and Lillie Robbs Humphries. Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Betty B. Humphries. He is survived by two sons: Ricky Humphries (Gina Appling) and Robert Humphries; one broth- er, Joe Humphries; three grandsons; and three great grandchildren.
