She placed 12th with a time of 18:48, making her the fourth individual to move on to the state finals in the girls' semi- state race. Head Coach Randy Gra- ham said, "With Xavery's 12th place overall finish, she was the fourth individual from a non-advancing team to cross the finish line and advances to the state finals next weekend. She is the first runner in our program's history to qualify for the state finals and to get it done as a freshman is out- standing. We've had several individuals get close, but to- day was the first. Everyone is really excited and happy for her. She is such a great kid and competitor, and has worked extremely hard for this opportunity. We know that she will go up to Terre Haute next weekend and give it everything she's got." The other Lady Chargers that placed in the race were: senior Quinlan Teague, 89th, 20 :46; junior Kennedy Willis, 137th, 21:57; sophomore An- na Whitehead, 140th, 20 :05; freshman Kaylyn Warner, 141st, 22:06; and senior Mor- gan Anderson, 167th, 24:47. Coach Graham comment- ed, "We would have liked to have finished a little higher, but overall, it still wasn't a bad day for these girls. They ran hard and competed, and real- ly put things together the last few weeks. I don't think this group had a bad Saturday race all year. We are very proud of what they accomplished this season. It was great to see our seniors have the opportunity to compete on this big stage another time."
