Walk with God as Noah did when the flood came, Noah was saved amidst the scorn and rejection of his neighbors. Walk with God as Moses did in the solitude of the desert; when the hour of judgment fell upon Egypt. Moses was pre- pared to lead his family to vic- tory. Walk with God as David did as a shepherd boy; when he was called to rule his peo- ple he was prepared for the task of kingship. Walk with God as Daniel and his three young friends did in the palace of the Baby- lon's king; when the fiery fur- nace and the lion's den came, God was beside them and de- livered them. No, God didn't always deliver His saints from adversity or even death, nor does He today. But because they learned to trust Him in the light they were prepared to follow Him in the darkness. If at any time you have no church to attend, feel free to join us for services. Your pres- ence will be appreciated and I'm sure you will feel the bless- ing of God. Help yourself to "Free Food" and may God Bless all of you. Young children can ask the most amazing questions about God and Heaven. And when they do, we shouldn't ignore them or act like their ques- tions aren't important—be- cause they are. When children ask you about God, do your best to an- swer simply and honestly in terms they can understand. Of course they don't need deep and complicated answers, but just because they can't under- stand everything about God, doesn't mean they can't under- stand something about Him. I don't understand electricity, but that doesn't mean I can't turn on a light switch. "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God be- longs to such as these" (Mark 10 :14). By Rev. Billy Graham. We Deceive Ourselves American churches are full of people that have nev- er acknowledged themselves as sinners, never repented of their sins, never turned away from their sins to live for Je- sus, and yet they call them- selves Christians. "This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:5 -9). We will plan to do that as soon as possible. Normal weekly schedule is as follows: Sunday school starts at 9:30 a.m. with morn- ing worship starting at 10 :30 a.m. We are doing teen minis- try on Sunday nights at 5:30 p.m. during the summer. Our Wednesday program will start with an outdoor family night celebration September 15. We hope to have inflatables, but if not, we will have plenty of food and activities. We are still working out the details of the Wednesday night min- istry. With the loss of Shirley Graham, our preschool lead- er for the past 50 years, we have to adjust how we do min- istry. We plan to do ministry for children from preschool to high school. Time is still to be decided. The time will only be one hour this year, and we plan to start earlier if possible and we will provide transpor- tation for those who need it. With school starting in Au- gust, that would be a good time for you to reconnect with us on Sunday morning. Most people have returned, but some are still being cautious. I can't overestimate the value of gathering together in per- son on Sunday morning, so we can take who we are in Christ, and apply it to every area of our lives. Peace and joy in the Lord.
