She is survived by her hus- band, Mark Taylor; daughter, Dawn Davis; granddaughter, Abby Jo Davis; brothers, Nel- son, Greg and Roger (Pam Brewster) Fowler; and sister, Karen (Bob) Medaris. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services were at noon EDT on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, with Pastor Ron Ficklin officiating. JILL LAVONNE FELTNER Jill Lavonne Feltner, 66, of Petersburg, passed away Au- gust 5, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 7, 1954, to Ira and Ramona Smith in Washington. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey J. Austin; daughters, Stephanie D. Austin and Va- nessa (Steven) Landstrom; and grandchildren, Jeremy J. Leighty, Tesa D. Church, Chase B. Church, and Addy, Maddy, Waylan, Wyatt and Samuel Landstrom. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her hus- band, John T. Feltner. Bland, 67, passed away while at the Daviess Community Hospital in Wash- ington on August 2, 2021. She was born June 5, 1954, in Petersburg, to Mabel Holts- claw Jenne and William Jenne. She was a homemaker who loved to watch T V and do word search puzzles. Her children fondly remember and will miss her fried chicken and mashed potato dinners. She is survived by her chil- dren, Annie May Stiles and Terry Bland, both of Odon, and Sandy ( Josh) Sollman, of Evansville; three grandchil- dren; sisters, Vicki (Alan) Austin, of Huntingburg and Martha Fuson, of Washington; and brothers, Rick Jenne, of Vincennes, Claude and Wayne Jenne, both of Washington, and Milton Jenne, of Florida; and a stepbrother, Gene Ris- ley, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and William Jenne; sisters, Anna- bell Grubb, Sue McBride and Irene Jenne; brothers, Mike Jenne, infant Franklin Jenne and Georgie Jenne; and a step- brother, Billy Risley. Padgett, 84, of Washington, went to heaven, with loved ones by her side, Thursday, Aug. 5, 2021, at her home. She was born Dec. 20, 1936, in Epsom, Ind., to Ernest R. and Esther Berniece (Field- er) Myers. She married the love of her life, Edwin "Leroy" Padgett, on March 12, 1953. She was a member of the Ep- som United Methodist Church until it closed and then attend- ed Shiloh Church of God. She loved being a homemaker, tak- ing care of her home and rais- ing her family gave her much joy. In her later years, she en- joyed driving for the Amish. She is survived by two sons, Marty (Marilyn) Padgett, of Plainville, and Terry (Shelly) Padgett, of Washington; three daughters, Sherry (Mark) Willis, of Petersburg, Mar- sha Myers, of Washington, and Aleta (Bob) Baker, of El- nora; 16 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rudy Myers, of Washington, and Marlin My- ers of Thorntown, Ind.; and three sisters, Elenor Johnston, of Loogootee, Carol ( Jim) Britton, of Montezuma, Ind., and Myrna (Kenneth) Crum, of Indianapolis. She preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Padgett; son, Edwin Padgett; daughter, Winet- ta Webster; and great-grand- daughter, Jordan Beaman. She is survived by her hus- band of 53 years, Richard Melton; a son, Brian (Lori) Melton; a granddaughter; sis- ters, Patty Sherman, of Union, and Ellie Green, of Francis- co; sisters-in-law, Carol Rum- ble of Ashland, Mo., and Katie Jo Rumble, of Vincennes; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tracy Melton; a sister, Sharon Rum- ble; and brothers, Larry and Randy Rumble. Grief Support Series-The death of a loved one, a child leaving home, overwhelm- ing changes in one's personal life – each can cause profound grief and suffering. To offer reassurance and comfort, Memorial Hospi- tal and Health Care Center has developed a free support program called "Grief Support Series." In this program, participants will learn that grief is normal, examine the various emotions of grief, be encouraged to face the pain, and find ways to make a healthy emo- tional withdrawal from the loss. Conducting the sessions will be Theresa O'Bryan, Hos- pital Chaplain, and Tom Holsworth, a clinical psychologist who has served as a co-facilita- tor of this program since its inception in 1991. Many stroke survi- vors and their caregivers experience a range of emotions as they adjust back to normal dai- ly activities. Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center, in conjunction with University of Louisville Health, is offering a new, free support group where stroke survivors and their family/caregivers can talk openly with others who share similar experiences.
