The 40-minute service featured numerous local pastors and lay people offering prayers for various sectors of the United States. Above: the group starts out with the Pledge of Allegiance. The ceremo- ny ended with the group singing God Bless America. Tammy Powers, of Freedom and Fire Church, prayed for our government; Mike Miller, pastor of First Baptist in Petersburg, prayed for arts, media and entertainment; Jeff Powers, pastor of Freedom and Fire Church, prayed for our workplaces; Pastor Steve Hamilton, with the Petersburg Nazarene, prayed for the military; Bill Evans, with the Glezen Revival Center, prayed for our fami- lies; Jim Gidcumb, pastor of River of Life, prayed for the church; Christine Priest, of Living Faith Church Inter- national Church, prayed for education and homeschooling parents; and Don Priest, of Living Faith Church In- ternational, had the opening and closing prayer. DAY OF PRAYER Petersburg Family Medicine/Memorial Hospital Foundation donate AEDs to Pike County In April, Memorial Hospital's Petersburg Family Medicine and Memorial Hospital Foundation donated poten- tially life-saving Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) to the Elmer Buchta Technology Center and the Pike County Volunteer Fire Department.
