He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Lancaster; two daughters, Christine Harrington (Calvin) and Bobbie Jo Mathis (Charlie); a son-in-law, Randy Harrington (Brenda); five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and four sisters, Elizabeth Moore (Wayne), Mary Owens, Rita Lancaster, and Becky Fox (Phil), all of Shelby, NC. Born in Cleveland County on June 17, 1952, J.L. was the son of the late Baxter Reid Lancaster and Edna Hamrick Lancaster. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lancaster.
