File photo Charger senior Trent Zimmerman placed fifth in the one meter diving at Jas- per and sophomores Dav- en Readle, Michael Bur- khart and Freshmen Isaac Burdette and Wyatt Luff placed in B finals. Zimmerman scored 197.65 in the prelims and scored 253.50 in the finals. Isaac Burdette and fresh- man Wyatt Luff had indi- vidual B final finishes at the Monday night Jasper High School sectional fi- nals. The 200 free relay team consisting of Isaac Bur- dette, freshman Cobey McKinney, Burkhart and Readle placed seventh clocking 1:47.67. Luff, Burdette, Burkhart and Readle teamed for an 8th place finish in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:05.36. Readle was ninth in the 200 free clocking 2:10.12 and Burkhart was 14th in 2:20.17. Burkhart was 14th in the 100 fly prelims. Rea- dle also was 10th in the 500 free with a time of 6:08.81. Luff took 14th in the 100 backstroke in 1:13.63. Isaac Burdette was 15th in the 50 free clocking 26.68. Cobey McKinney placed 19th in the prelims in the 50 free (27.36) with Max Burkhart 31st in 39.34 and 22nd in the 100 back prelim. McK- inney also was 19th in the 100 free (1:00.85) and Luff was 24th (1:05.31). Powell named PAC Honorable Mention in girls basketball Washington finishes 10-0 in PAC Senior Kenzie Powell was the on- ly Pike Central All Conference se- lection in Pocket Athletic Confer- ence girls basketball. She is one of six other honorable mentions and 18 first and second team Pocket Athlet- ic Conference selections. Of the 13 teams, Washington had two first team members and one sec- ond team, finishing with a perfect 10 -0 conference record and 16 -1 reg- ular season. Pike Central was o1-9 in conference and 4-12 overall. Confer- ence rankings were: Washington 10 - 0, Heritage Hills 11-1, Gibson South- ern 9 -3, Tecumseh 8 -3, Forest Park 7-3, Boonville 6 -6, Southridge 6 -6, Princeton 5 -6, Mt. Vernon 4-7, South Spencer 2-9, Pike Central 1-9, North Posey 0 -6, Tell City 0 -10. Pike Central sectional pairings The IHSA A sectional draw pairs Pike Central (2-15) with Vincennes Lincoln (1-14) in the Friday, March 5 game beginning at 6:30 pm. Washington (5 -11) takes on Sulli- van (17-2) in game one on March 2. Princeton plays the winner of that match-up following the Pike Central contest. The winners of those two match- es play for the sectional champion- ship on Saturday, March 6 at 8 pm.
