Alvey, 14, of Oak- land City, passed away on Feb- ruary 19, 2021. He was born in Newburgh, on April 18, 2006. Aiden was a freshman at Perry Central Jr.- Sr. High School. Aiden was your typical teen- age boy. He enjoyed his weld- ing class at school and had played football. A dare devil, he loved to ride his dirt bike and boating; he really just liked to drive anything. Trips with dad, breakfast at Den- ny's, learning to cook with his mom, tinkering in his grand- pa's garage, his animals and camping were other things Aiden enjoyed. He was a happy go lucky kid that always had a smile on his face. He was re- spectful and loved by many. Surviving are his parents; mother, Karey (Goffinet) and Brian Kleeman, of Mt. Pleas- ant; father, Tommy E. Alvey Jr. (Brooke Stunkel), of Oakland City; brother, Trenton Hoesli, of Mt. Pleasant; grandparents, Charlie and Diana Goffinet, of Mt. Funeral services were 2 p.m. CST on Tuesday, Feb- ruary 23, 2021, at Huber Fu- neral Home, Tell City Chapel. Pastor Josh Harris officiated. Burial followed in St. Augus- tine Catholic Church Ceme- tery. Visitation was Monday from 3-7 p.m. and Tuesday, noon-until time of service at the funeral home. A mask was to be worn while visiting the funeral home/cemetery and social distancing was appreciated. Condolences may be left for the family at www.huberfuner- alhome.net THOMAS JERRY "TOM" HAYES Thomas Jerry "Tom" or "T.J." Hayes, 80, Kokomo, passed away at 12:38 a.m. Thursday, February 18, 2021, at his home. He was born December 19, 1940, in Pike County, the son of the late Rader J. and Esther Mary ( Whitehead) Hayes. On April 21, 1996, in Gatlin- burg, Tennessee, he married Marjorie (Lazaro) Bailey who survives. Tom was a 1959 graduate of Winslow High School in Winslow. He joined the United States Army in 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1962. Tom retired from Duke Ener- gy/Cinergy after 30 years of service. He was a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church and enjoyed golf, woodwork- ing, playing his guitar, travel- ing and reading. Along with his wife Marjo- rie, Tom is also survived by his daughters, Meshelle (Mike) Fischer, Lanae (Darrel) Miller and Melissa Amerman; step- sons, Jeffery (Marty) Bailey and Neil Bailey (Alex Harp- er); grandchildren, Amanda (Tyler) Gordon, Emily ( Jim- my) Boller, Michael Fischer, Grant Fischer, Megan Mill- er, Ryan Miller, Kilie Miller, Nick (Tymi) Bailey, Doug Bai- ley and Kara ( Justin) Carter; great-grandchildren, Ever- ly Fay Boller, Matti Jo Boller, Briggs Gordon, Boone Gor- don, Dallas Carter and Lake- lyn Carter; and brother, Fos- ter Dale (Merle) Hayes. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Matthew Thomas Miller; and step-children, Michelle Bailey Brubaker and Bret Bailey. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Annette Moore and her staff, along with Heartland Hospice and Nurse Lynn for their Care. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at Chapel Hill Christian Church, 2600 W. Alto Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Steve Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery with military hon- ors provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team. GREGORY KENT KRIEG Gregory Kent Krieg, 56, of Oakland City, entered into rest on Feb. 13, 2021, at Dea- coness Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He was born May 21, 1964, in Princeton, to John Jr. and Rose Mary (Ott) Kreig. He is survived by his daugh- ters, Melanie Krieg, of Princ- eton, Abby Krieg, of Fort. Branch, and Christy (Adam) Allen, of Allendale, Ill.; moth- er, Rose Mary (Ott) Krieg, of Princeton; four grandchil- dren; sister; Tammy (Den- ny) Tooley, of Princeton; and brothers, Dale (Barbara) Krieg, of Princeton, Terry (Kathy) Krieg, of Jasonville, and Jay Krieg, of Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father, John Krieg, Jr., grandparents, John Krieg, Sr., Dorothy (Dillion) Krieg, Howard Ott and Ada (Peav- ler) Ott; and brother, Darwin (Dob) Krieg. JAMES THOMAS JULIAN James "J.J." Thomas Julian, 61, of Lynnville, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Febru- ary 16, 2021, at his home. He was born September 1, 1959, to Charles and Junette Julian. He graduated from Lyn- nville High School on 1978. Upon graduating, he attend- ed Oakland City Universi- ty with a degree in welding. He worked at AFCO in Boon- ville. In addition to his work, he enjoyed fishing, basketball and football. He was an active member of Spurgeon United Methodist Church in Spur- geon. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sherry Lynn "Lechner" Julian; sister, Bet- ty (Paul) Grimes; one neph- ew; two great-nephews; and two great-nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Junette Julian. Private family funeral ser- vice was at 10 a.m. (CST) Sat- urday, February 20, 2021, at Pemberton-Bradley Funeral Home in Lynnville. There was a public walk- through visitation from 3-6 p.m. (CST) Friday, February 19, 2021, and one hour before service time on Saturday. Pub- lic burial followed at Spurgeon Cemetery in Spurgeon. VELMA DEE REEVES Velma Dee Reeves, 99, of Petersburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, Febru- ary 19, 2021 at Amber Man- or Care Center, in Petersburg. She was born September 9,1921, in Washington, to the late Arthur and Clara Earl Cle- ments. She spend most of her life- time in Southern Indiana. Since the age of 12, she has been a member of Central Christian Church, in Washing- ton. A fter attending Washing- ton High School, she enlisted in the Woman's Army Corps in June of 1944 and was stationed at Will Rogers Field, Oklaho- ma City, Okla. Her classifi- cation was semi-skilled in- spector and a parachute rig- or. She was discharged after 18 months of service in 1946. She married Robert Reeves on May 8, 1946 and resided in Ithaca, New York for the next 18 years. She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda ( William) Rush, of Bedford, Vicki (Lan- nie) Willis, of Petersburg, Me- linda (Brian) Spice, of Bloom- ington, Richard (Shelly) Gray, of Washington, Michael Gray, of Petersburg, Megan Taylor ( Jeffrey Davis), of Petersburg, Bobbi Chapman, of Washing- ton, five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five grea-great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert G. Reeves on Novem- ber 12, 2002. Graveside services will be Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Sugarland Mem- ory Gardens in Washington with Minister Byron Holts- claw officiating. Gill's funeral service in Washington will be in charge of the service. LEO HEIDORN, JR. Leo Heidorn, Jr., 96, of Bar- tlesville, Okla., passed away December 25, 2020. He was born February 22, 1924, the son of Leo Heidorn Sr. and Dora McClure Hei- dorn, of Augusta, and raised by an aunt after the death of his mother. He was a 1942 graduate of Winslow High School. Basket- ball was his passion and hon- ing his skills at Winslow High School prepared him for a scholarship at Indiana State College. Like many his age, he took a break from school to serve 38 months in W WII, serving in both European and Pacific theaters, and he even- tually landed in Japan. He graduated in 1950 from Pur- due University as a Civil En- gineer. He married Vada "San- dy" Bunch, an RN from Ten- nessee, in 1954, and they had two sons. A fter 15 years of working at a chemical plant in Calvert City, Ky., he transitioned to en- gineering construction, mov- ing every two to three years to supervise the building of chemical and power plants in New Mexico, Arizona, Colo- rado, Texas, Hawaii and Is- rael. Blooming where they were planted, he and Sandy spent their free time being active in the community and church, having dinner parties and sightseeing. A fter retiring in Florida for several years, he and Sandy were lured to Bar- tlesville, Okla., to be active grandparents. Regardless of where he lived, he saw a life of service as a life well and ful- ly lived. He is survived by his wife, Vada (Sandy) Heidorn; his two sons, Eric Trent (Melo- dy) Heidorn and Steve ( Joan) Heidorn; and three grandchil- dren. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Le- land Heidorn and Joan Buck- ley; and a granddaughter, Am- ber. Miller, 83, of Lynn- ville, entered into rest on Sun- day, Feb. 14,2021, at Deacon- ess Gateway Hospital in New- burgh. He was born on October 21, 1937, in Mackey, to Edward and Hermena Miller. He was a member of the Mackey Church of the Naza- rene for many years, a 1955 graduate of Mackey High School, Coal Miner for Old Ben Coal for over 30 years and a member of the U.M.W.A. lo- cal 5179 for 59 years. He is survived by his wife, Ermadel June Miller, brother Hilbert Miller, of Chambers- burg, Pa; four step children; nine step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lavona "Bonnie Miller and step daughter, Edwina Lewis. Services was 2 p.m. on Mon- day, Feb. 22, 2021, at Mackey Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Jared Henry officiating. Burial took place in the Towns- ley Cemetery, in Mackey. Vis- itation was from 1 p.m. until services on Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Mackey Church of the Nazarene. Due to Covid-19 mandates from Gov. RICHARD LEE AYDELOT TE Richard Lee Aydelotte, 85, of Evansville, devoted hus- band and father, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021. Richard was born April 24, 1935 to the late Charles and Amy Aydelotte. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, served during the Kore- an War, attended the Oakland City Church of the Nazarene, retired from Old Ben Coal and was a member of the Oakland City Masonic Lodge #467. He enjoyed many hobbies and ac- tivities during his lifetime, in- cluding restoring antique au- tomobiles and bicycles, camp- ing, traveling and antiquing. Richard is survived by three daughters, Lisa Heldt (Ron), Amy Aydelotte, Kristi Aydelotte, four granddaugh- ters, seven great-grandchil- dren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise, two broth- ers, Robert and Ray, and two sisters, Dorothy Jean Collins and Margaret Frances Wiggs. WANDA LOU STEWART Wanda Lou Stewart, 90, of Winslow, entered rest on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City. She was born on April 24, 1930, at home in Gibson Coun- ty, to Fred and Leola (Rogers) Kirk. She married Denzil "Dink" Stewart on February 10, 1947. She attended the Patoka Grove Church, loved to sew, make quilts, tole house paint- ing, loved her crafts and cook- ing. She is survived by a son, Frederick Stewart, of Vicks- burg, daughters, Susan (Ron- ald) Martin, of Arcadia, Fla, Karen Griffith and Jenni- fer ( John) Reynolds, of Dug- ger, Julie Kitchene, of Owens- ville, Roxanne (Paul) Traux, of Freedom, Kathy (Steve) Vaughn, of Winslow, sisters, Dixie McClure and Thelma ( Jack) Holtsclaw, of Oakland City and Barbara Bassett, of Oceanside, Calif., 17 grand- children, 37 great-grand- children and nine great- great-grandchildren and sev- eral step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. CONNIE ELAINE MILLS Connie Elaine Mills, 60, of Boonville, formerly of Pike County, passed away Febru- ary 22, 2021 in Evansville. She was born January 5, 1961 to Ernest and Janice Newton, of Boonville. She is survived by her son, Kyle Mills; daughters, Chris- tie Williams and Jessica Mue- hlbauer; mother, Janice New- ton; seven grandchildren; brother, Scott Newton; and sisters, Teresa Brown, Venus Graves and Tammy Ruiz. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Rayetta Mills and father, Ernest Newton. A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. EST on Friday, February 26, at Mar- tin Cemetery.
