SUDOKU LEGALS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed BIDS for the construction of the City of Petersburg 2020-2 Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) project will be publicly opened and read aloud by the City of Petersburg Council at the Petersburg City Council Chambers located at 702 E Main Street, Petersburg, IN 47567 at 6:30 pm (Eastern Time) on January 19, 2021. Due to current COVID-19 restriction guidelines, Bidders will be unable to attend the January 19, 2021 City of Petersburg Council meeting in-person; however, Bidders may virtually view this meeting live by requesting viewing access through the City of Petersburg's City Hall prior to January 19, 2021. Bids shall be delivered to the City of Petersburg City Hall at 704 E Main Street, Petersburg, IN 47567 and shall be received no later than 4:00 pm (Eastern Time) on January 19, 2021. Bids received aer this time will not be considered. Bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope with City of Petersburg 2020-2 CCMG Project BID and the name and address of the Bidder clearly marked on the outside of the sealed envelope. Bids may be hand-delivered during normal business hours (8:00 am through 4:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday thru Friday, excepting holidays). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, Bidders delivering a Bid shall call the City of Petersburg City Hall at 812-354-8511 upon arrival to obtain entry into the building. e project documents (BID FORM) may be viewed and obtained at the Petersburg City Hall during normal business hours as described above. e scope of the project includes 7,328 sys of HMA milling and 605 tons of HMA resurfacing over 3 street segments. Each Bidder is responsible for inspecting the project site and understanding the work associated with the project documents. Failure or omission of the Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall not relieve the Bidder from obligations with respect to its Bid. Each Bid shall include a fully completed BID FORM (furnished by Owner), the most current version of Indiana Form 96 inclusive of Non-Collusion Affidavit Standard Questionnaire (furnished by Bidder), Financial Statement, and any other required bid documents as required by Indiana law. e Bid shall include sufficient and proper sums for all construction, mobilizations, accesses, labor, materials, permits, licenses, insurances, bonds, etc. incidental to and required for the complete construction of the project. No Bid may be withdrawn by the Bidder for at least sixty (60) calendar days following receipt of a Bid. A conditional or qualified Bid will not be accepted. Each Bidder shall deposit with its Bid, a certified check or acceptable bidder's bond, made payable to the Owner, in a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid. is check or bond will be held by the Owner as evidence that the Bidder shall, if awarded the contract, enter into the same with the Owner upon notification from the Owner to do so within ten (10) calendar days of said notification. e Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all Bids. Award will be made to the low, responsive, and responsible Bidder. e low, responsive, and responsible Bidder must not be debarred, suspended, or otherwise be excluded from or ineligible for participation in federally assisted programs under Executive Order 12549. All applicable laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the project throughout the entire duration of the project. e Contractor receiving the Award shall furnish the Owner an approved performance bond and an approved payment bond (labor and materials), each in an amount at least equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the BID amount, both of which shall remain in full effect throughout the duration of the project plus a period of twelve (12) months following the Date of Substantial Completion of the project. ese bonds shall be furnished by the Contractor to the Owner following issuance of the Notice of Award.
