Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Mary Sue McGinnis Howard, his parents, McLean Asbury Howard and Neva Keever Howard, and two brothers Myron M. Howard and Herbert A. Howard. Mr. Howard served our country in the U.S. Marine Corps and serving in World War II and the Korean War. There was a private grave- side service for the family on Saturday, September 12th. NATHANIEL JOSEPH BERRETT Nathaniel Joseph Berrett, 16, of Polkville went home to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 5, 2020. Born in Cosa Grande, AZ, on May 8, 2004; he was a son of Nathaniel Thomas Berrett and Peggy Lynn Storms Berrett. In addition to his parents he is survived by his three sis- ters, Kaitlyn Elizabeth Berrett, Elianah Grace Berrett, and Brianna Faith Berrett; brother Liam Malachi Berrett; and grandparents, Neil and Judy Storms, Deborah Caple and Scott Berrett. Walter Howard Norville, Jr. age 67 passed away on September 7, 2020 at Atrium Health- Cleveland. Born in Rutherford County on May 3, 1953 he was the son of the late Walter Howard Norville Sr. and wife Lucille Kimbrell Norville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents Osborne Round and Kate Matheny Norville, maternal grandparents Charlie Lee and Clara Davidson Kimbrell, and brother Bruce Wayne Norville. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Maxine Norville, daughter and husband Angie and Sammy Rogers and their two children Hayden and Hallie, son and wife Kenneth and Jennifer Norville and their five children; Kenny Lee, Blake, Cody, Kolby and Jacob, son and wife Lance and Sara Norville and their three children Paislee, Easton, Scotlyn, daughter and husband Ashley and Travis Stroup their two chil- dren Lake and Lizzie, sis- ter and husband Barbara and Keith Carpenter, brother and wife Dennis and Angela Norville, brother and wife Russell and Jenny Norville, and brother-in-law Eddie Lail and wife Julie. Born in Lincoln County, NC on April 5, 1950, he was the son of the late Jack Harrison Williams, Sr. and Ruth Grigg Williams. Survivors include his sis- ter, Jeannie W. JENNIE LOUISE BORDERS IVIE Jennie Louise Borders Ivie, age 90, went home to be with Jesus and her husband on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from White Oak Manor in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County on March 26, 1930 she was the daughter of the late George Marks Borders and wife Della Hord Borders. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jack Billy Ivie, one daughter Jennie Sue Ivie, her youngest grandson Jacob Dale Wright as well as four brothers and two sisters. Jennie is survived by her four daughters, Jacqueline Johnson Ivie of Shelby, Debbie Cash and hus- band Rev. Jerome Cash of Peachland, Janice Wright and husband Dale, Donna Long and husband Dale all of Shelby; one sister, Sylvia Langston of Greensboro; nine grandchildren, April, Tara, Josh, Jared, Ashley, Adam, Ryan, Heather and Ivie; and 17 great-grand- children and 9 great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Jerry Izzi and Ed Porter; one broth- er, Sam Ellis; and two sis- ters, Faye Ellis Bridges and Dorothy Ellis McHone. Peggy is survived by her brother David Ellis of Shelby, two nieces; Pam Snyder and husband Phil of Spruce Pine, and Lynn Ellis Vance and husband Kelly of New Port News, VA as well as her unofficially adopted son, Ambrose Scott Bradshaw of Kings Mountain.
