He was born July 16, 1943, in Pike County, to Ival and Delphine (LaForce) Charles. He is survived by his com- panion, Janet Rogers; and several cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents. Private graveside ser- vices will take place. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with his care. NORMA LEE LOVELESS Norma Lee Loveless, 89, of Petersburg, passed away April 28, 2020. She was born November 12, 1930, in Pike County, to Hosea and Mamie Loveless. She is survived by her nephew, James Miller; niece, Joan Willis; great-nephews, Steve Miller, Larry Miller, Terry Miller and JD Willis; friends and neighbors, Dr. Howard and Grace Dunigan; and her buddy, Danette Rob- inson. She is preceded in death by her parents. Due to the State Mandate for COVID-19, there will be a private graveside service. Harris Funeral Home is en- trusted with her care. ALVET TA S. WALLACE Alvetta S. Wallace, 79, of Lynnville, formerly of Oakland City, entered rest on Saturday, May 2, 2020, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born the young- est child of Alvy and Glad- ys (Sattler)Wallace, of Winslow, on Jan. 19, 1941. She graduated from Winslow High School in 1959. She also graduat- ed from Oakland City Col- lege in 1964 with a bache- lor of science degree, and graduated from Indiana University in 1973 with a Master of Science in Edu- cation degree. She taught school in the East Gibson School Corporation, Fran- cisco School and Barton Township School for over 30 years. She was a very active in D.A.R. and was the first woman elected president of the Oakland City Lions Club. She is survived by a sis- ter, Doretta Royalty, of Winslow; her caregiver, Teresa (Mike) Williams, of Oakland City; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert and Ar- nold Wallace; and her step- father, Johnny Rutter. Due to current circum- stances, a private graveside services will be conducted at Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg, with Rev. Ermil Wilhite officiating. Family and friends may send messages of com- fort to www.lambbaham. com. ANTHONY M. WOOLSEY Anthony M. Woolsey, 33, of Winslow, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020. He was born Decem- ber 3, 1986, in Evansville. He was the son of Timothy Woolsey, Sherry(Fowler) and Joseph Small. He married Rachelle (Fox) in 2016. He was the father of two children, Bai- ley Jo and Zain Malcolme. He graduated from Pike Central High School in 2005 and achieved an asso- ciate degree in electronics from Vincennes University in 2007. He worked various industrial maintenance po- sitions, including at Farbest Foods and Jasper Rubber Products. He had a love for the outdoors, always includ- ing his family and friends. Some of his favorite activ- ities were hiking, fishing, kayaking and wild edible foraging. He also kept ma- ny electronics projects at hand. He leaves many great family and friends, who will miss him dearly. In addition to his wife, children and parents, he is survived by a brother, Clay Small, of Petersburg; step- sister, Angie ( Justin) Nunn, of Laporte; inlaws, Mr. and Mrs. Keith (Cheryl) Fox, of Vincennes, and Mr. and Mrs. Matthew (Cyndi) Gilliland, of Winchester; brother-in-law, Trey Fox; grandmother, Sarah Wool- sey; aunts, Karen Posel- wait, Shanetta Cox, Kathy Poselwait and Betty Man- ion; and several cousins, Misty Garland, Andrew Poselwait, Apryl Hill, Hol- ly Bowling, Jeremy Drew, Alex Poselwait and Dustin Matteson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Amy Woolsey; and grandparents, Roy and Lena Woolsey, Teddy Fowl- er and Carrie Harrison. Due to the Covid-19 lim- itations, no formal service will be held. Graveside ser- vices are pending. Harris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ROBERT DALE JOHNS Robert Dale Johns, 75, went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2020. He was born on July 2, 1944, to James and Violet Johns, in Pike County. He was a handyman. He enjoyed working on any- thing mechanical, and tak- ing things apart and putting them back together. His pas- sion in life was working on cars. He also enjoyed fish- ing, especially in rivers. He loved to fish in the Ohio Riv- er and the Wabash. He loved the Lord and was a Pente- costal. He is survived by his wife of over 20 years, Ruby Johns; his children, Mary (Tim- my) Devault, Karla (Brian) Spindler, Duane (Ashley) Johns, Sean Webb, Christy Conner, Jenny Gardner and Ricky Conner; many grand- children; his siblings, Jim (Nancy) Johns, Claude (Car- la) Johns, Joe Johns, Mary Brock, Aloha Altevogt and Bonnie ( Vic) Moehler; ma- ny loving nieces and neph- ews; his longtime friend of over 70 years, Ronnie Phil- lips, and his longtime friend of over 30 years, Bill Martin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his broth- er-in-law, Larry Brock. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. LINUS M. BUCHHEIT Linus M. Buchheit, 91, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020, at Amber Manor Care Center in Pe- tersburg. He was born May 22, 1928, in Old Appleton, Mo., to Leo and Anna (Ponder) Buchheit. He graduated from Per- ryville High School. He was ranked Quartermaster 2 in the Navy Reserves from 1948 -1956. He worked at the Country Oaks Golf Club in Montgomery. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, numerous golf and bowling leagues, and Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Bernetta (Buerck) Buch- heit, whom he married on October 25, 1952; two sons, Dean (Kathy) Buchheit, of Washington, and Kevin (Grace) Buchheit, of Indi- anapolis; three daughters, Deborah (Kent) Kassel, Cindy (Mike) Davis and Mi- chele (Brad) Rainey, all of Washington; brother, Mar- tin (Pepper) Buchheit, of Washington; ten grandchil- dren; one step-grandchild; and nineteen great-grand- children. He was preceded in death by his parents; eleven sib- lings; son-in-law, Kent Kas- sel; and grandson, Nick Rainey. Private graveside ser- vices will be held. RICHARD LEE WHITE Richard "Rick" Lee White, 60, of Washington, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at Ascen- sion St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He is survived by a son, Richard (Kasey) White, of Evansville; brother Mi- chael ( Jamie) White, of Pe- tersburg; sister, Barbara ( James) Harrel, of Mont- gomery; one grandson; many nephews and nieces; and many friends he called family. He was born October 1, 1985, to Mike and Brenda Rothrock, in Jasper. He attended Pike Cen- tral High School. He has been staying busy working as a carpenter/handyman for many years. He loved to work with his hands and wood. He created many unique wood gifts for fam- ily and friends. He enjoyed fishing and camping, and mushroom hunting. He was very talented. He could re- pair anything he tackled. He was just well-rounded and knew something about most things or could figure it out. He is survived by his mother, Brenda Rothrock; stepmother, Yvette Ro- throck; brothers, Nick and Cory; grandmother, Judy Rothrock; aunt, Karen (Rob- by) Lee; cousins, Joey and Rachel; uncle, Wayne Gish; cousins, Cliffton Gish and Shaunta, and Jacob Gish; aunt Debbie Smith; cousin Chloe Smith; aunt, Shannon (Scott) Gish Arendell; and cousins Kelsie and Ally. Spaw, mother, Doro- thy Spaw, and her brother, Charles Spaw on April 29, 2020. She passed away at home in the comfort of her family in Chandler, after her struggle with cancer. She was born December 15, 1949, in Evansville. She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her chil- dren, grandchildren, her family and close friends, her work and co-workers at Dea- coness Gateway Hospital. She is survived by her sister, Sandra Austin, of Evansville; many cousins, nieces and nephews; son, Keith D. Bruce, of Junction City, Kan.; two grandchil- dren, Anthony Bruce and Danielle Yeamans; four great-grandchildren; son, Jarrod L.
