Sports physicals May 13 The annual IHSA A sports physicals will be from 5:30 -8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13 in the middle school facil- ities. The cost is $15 per student, payable by cash or check made out to PC Athletics. Any student who will be in grades 6 -12 in the Fall of 2020, and plans on participat- ing in a school sport at any time during the year, may take advan- tage of this opportuni- ty. Students participat- ing in a PCHS/PCMS sport must have the IHSA A physical form, which is new this year. The completed histo- ry, consent and release signatures on pages two and five must be filled out before a student will be seen. Old forms will not be accepted by ath- letics. The healthcare provider must com- plete, sign and include their license number on the form as directed by the IHSA A. Forms may be picked up from the nurse's of- fice, athletics or at the door that evening. It is also available online (five pages) by going to www.ihsaa.org under forms. No student un- der the age of 18 will be seen without a parent's signature or completed history. When South Spencer's Holt Compton scored with 17 seconds left in the half, it capped a 21-3 run by the Rebels that stretched the lead to 32-12. South Spencer was able to maintain their 22-point lead, which was 47-25 after three quarters. Pike Central senior Ethan Scott, who had been held scoreless in the first three quarters, went off in the fourth quarter. He scored 13 straight points for the Chargers, including a three-pointer just before the buzzer. "They (South Spencer) are a very talented team. We knew they were going to be pretty good," said Elliott of the 18 -4 Rebels. "I thought this game was fairly similar to the South Knox game, over three quar- ters, we played right with them. We were down two af- ter one, two in the third and tied them in the fourth quar- ter. But it was 21-3 in the sec- ond quarter. We just aren't putting four quarters togeth- er," said Elliott.
