HOMES PLUS IN BRIEF Milwaukee/NARI offers free lawn and garden seminar WAUWATOSA – The Milwaukee chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry will sponsor a free lawn and garden seminar. The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 24, in the Ron Ziglinski Education Center at the Milwaukee/NARI office, 11815 W. Dearbourn Ave. It will include a question-andanswer session. The following Milwaukee/NARI members will make presentations: ■ Rick Hillman of Continental Surveying: "Landscapes and How it Relates to Property Boundaries" ■ Rick Hase of Hase Landscape Inc.: "Creating An Outdoor Living Space" ■ Michael Frankfurth of Frankfurth & Associates Landscape Contracting: "Paver Cleaning and Maintenance" ■ Patrick Devereux of Stone Oak Landscapes Inc., Cudahy: "Spring Plant Maintenance Tips/Yard Clean Up." In addition to a variety of Milwaukee/NARI resource materials, all attendees will receive a pair of tickets to the 14th annual Milwaukee/NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes, to be held May 18 and May 19. Call the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council office at 414-771-4071 to reserve your space or send an email to info@milwaukeenari.org. 17 231471009 APRIL 2013 Tour of Remodeled Homes scheduled for May 18-19 MILWAUKEE – The 14th annual Milwaukee/NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes, formerly known as the Spring Home Improvement Showcase, will take place May 18 and May 19. The event's theme is "Explore Remodeling's Finest." It is produced by the Milwaukee/NARI Home Improvement Council Inc., and sponsored by Kohler Co., in conjunction with First Supply and Ver Halen, The Pella Window Store. It will allow attendees to view more than 15 recently completed remodeling and home improvement projects from Milwaukee/NARI contractors at homes throughout southeastern Wisconsin. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Admission is $5 in advance and $7 at the door of the projects. Attendees who bring two nonperishable food items to the door of the first project they visit will receive a $2 admission discount, with the food items to be donated to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin.
