Number 1600724). e proposed project is located on CR 350 North and will extend from SR 61 east to CR 175 East, for a total length of approximately 1.38 miles. e project will reconstruct CR 350 North and re-establish connectivity between CR 350 North and SR 61. e project will involve reconstructing CR 350 North between SR 61 and CR 175 East. e west end of CR 350 North will be extended approximately 0.3 mile southwest on new terrain to tie into SR 61. e new intersection with SR 61 will restrict le turning movements from CR 350 North to southbound SR 61. In order to access southbound SR 61 from CR 350 North, traffic will need to continue east on CR 350 North, then south on CR 175 East, then west on CR 300 North. e project will include constructing new roadside ditches along each side of the road, under-cutting unstable areas, and providing sub- grade treatment, an aggregate base, and a hot mix asphalt paved surface. e proposed cross section of CR 350 North will consist of one 11 to 12-foot wide paved travel lane and 4-foot wide paved shoulders in each direction. New roadway signs will be installed along the roadway, as well as new pavement markings, and guardrail. Access drives will be provided at various locations along the roadway allowing for farm equipment access to the adjacent agricultural fields. Additionally, a utility access drive will be provided allowing access to the nearby utility cabinet. One new 15-inch diameter drainage pipe will be installed beneath the CR 350 North extension. Several drainage pipes located beneath the existing CR 350 North roadway, ranging from 15 inches to 24 inches in diameter, will be removed and/or replaced due to the added pavement width. e new drainage pipes will either be corrugated metal pipes or reinforced concrete pipes. Four of the existing drainage pipes will be removed completely, and four existing drainage pipes will be replaced with five larger culverts. e overall existing drainage patterns in the area will be maintained. Approximately 15.1 acres of permanent right- of-way and 0.1 acre of temporary right-of-way will be required. Relocations of residences or businesses are not anticipated. e total estimated project cost is $4,374,280 (fiscal year 2022) with federal and local dollars to be used. Construction is anticipated to begin in the spring of 2022. CR 350 North will be closed to traffic during construction and will be reopened once construction is complete; however, access will be provided at all times to the utility cabinet at the west end of CR 350 North and property owners of the adjacent agricultural fields. Construction of the CR 350 North extension on new terrain will not involve any road closures. e FHWA and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) have agreed the project falls within the guidelines of a Categorical Exclusion Level 4 Environmental Document.
