Jersey Vickers, Aven Reising and Vivien Fra- sure show off their char- acter float. The students worked in groups build- ing their float using a bag of limited materials. Samuel McConnell, Logan Carri- co and Brittney Kirby worked togeth- er to make their character float for the STEM project in Abby Aldridge's class. Brody Hildenbrand follows the computer to practice his typ- ing skills during Computer Science class. Sixth graders in Mrs Weisman's science class- es are learning how to find the volume of liquids, irregular solids and rectangular solids. They learned how to read graduated cylinders and use the water displacement method. Liam Fleming is reading his reading story un- der his desk with a flashlight. Cheri Willis, Derbi Grubb and Kyron Piersma work on de- sign during morning boxes. First grader Paisley Collins enjoyed writing her spelling words with markers. MENU Thursday, September 5: Calzone pizza, garden salad, sweet potato fries, brownie and fruit. Friday, September 6: Fish nuggets, lightly seasoned potato wedges, coleslaw and sidekicks. Monday, September 9: BBQ rib on bun, smile tots, fresh broccoli florets and fruit. Tuesday, September 10 : Chicken tetrazzini, garden salad, baby carrots, green beans, breadstick and fruit. Wednesday, September 11: Dutch waffle, sausage links, syrup, hash brown patty, v-blend juice and fruit. CALENDER Sept. 6 – Peer Mediator In- terviews. Sept. 9 – Robotics Team practice, after school till 5 p.m. Sept. 11– In honor of the 9/11 victims, their family members, survivors, rescue workers and volunteers, we are wearing red, white and blue and will have a special moment of silence.
