She was born to the late J.R. and Addie Rae Lemons Harrill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Poston. Mrs. Poston is survived by her sons, Phillip Poston and wife Rhonda and Andrew Poston and wife April, both of Shelby; sister Ruby Hughes and husband Carl of Shelby; brother Howard Harrill and wife Marie of Cherryville; granddaughters Lexi Poston and fiancé Brandon Rayle and Kira Poston; A funeral service was held in the chapel of Clay- Barnette. Tate, age 76, of Forest City, NC, passed away on April 6, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Roy and Eliza Swink. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lawrence Tate; two sisters, Dorothy Randall and of Shelby; and eight grand- children; and two great grandchildren. THOMAS EUGENE BLANTON Mr. Thomas Eugene Blanton, age 69, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 4, 2019. He was the son of the late Thomas Loranzie Blanton. Mr. Blanton served our country in the U.S. Service during Vietnam. He is survived by his son, Chad Blanton of Bessemer City, NC; daugh- ter, Megan Blanton Hibberts and husband, Ben of Bessemer City, NC; mother, Helen Childers McAbee and step-father, Don of Kings Mountain, NC; two sisters, Penny Self and husband, Leonad of Hendersonville, NC; Patricia Hartley and husband, Gene, of Hudson, NC; brother, Billy Blanton of Merritt Island, FL; and five grandchildren. Mr. Peterson is survived by his wife, his sons, Jeff Peterson and wife, Becky, Preston Peterson and wife, Lynn; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. DONALD JEAN ARROWOOD Mr. Donald Jean Arrowood, age 87, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away on April 5, 2019. He was the son of the late Herbert and Lokie Earley Arrowood. He is survived by his daughters, Annette Dalton and Amelia Webb (Thomas); eight grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Jerleen McEntire (Jesse). In addition to his par- ents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Harris Arrowood; children, Alan Arrowood and Anthony Arrowood; and brother, Bruce Arrowood. W G "JACK" SILVERS Mr. W G "Jack" Silvers, age 89, of Rutherfordton, NC, went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2019. He was the son of the late Irvin Silvers and Nettie Morgan Ferree. In addi- tion to his natural father he was raised by a step-father, Luther Ferree. Mr. Silvers served our country in the U.S. Army and was a vet- eran of the Korean War. In addition to his parents and step-father, he was pre- ceded in death by his wife, Mary Waters Silvers.
